With AFK Journey entering its 2nd month of operation and many of its players have managed to enter the game’s mid game points with its many interesting gamemodes and rewards available, it is important for players to have a better understanding of some of the game’s most important game modes in order to be able to obtain the most amount of rewards and advance further in the game than other players in order to claim their spots on the server’s top leader board and obtain all of the best rewards from the leaderboard to advance even further in the game.
One of the most important but confusing game modes that players can participate to obtain various important rewards to advance in their team building and to make the best team is the weekly challenge game mode where players challenges a large variety of enemies and go deeper into the abyss to obtain the most amount of points in order to obtain all of the rewards weekly, allowing them to obtain large amounts of rewards for faster progression - Arcane Labyrinth.

Arcane Labyrinth - What Is It
One of the permanent game modes in AFK Journey, Arcane Labyrinth is a weekly rewarding game mode that players will be able to unlock once they have reached and completed the 150th stages in the AFK stages. Once completed, players will be able to partake in the Arcane Labyrinth game mode where they will have to build a set team that will have their HP calculated and carry over through the different challenges, requiring players to delve as deep as they possibly can with a team in 1 run in order to clear each of the difficulties and obtain the first clear rewards available for grab.
Arcane Labyrinth - Floors and Challenges
Arcane Labyrinth is a game mode that requires players to clear as many floors in the Labyrinth as possible in a consecutive manner, with each floor cleared rewarding players with First clear rewards to encourage players to clear all of the floors. Arcane Labyrinth are divided mainly into 2 separate parts - The normal floors (consisting of 15 floors in total) and the Deep Labyrinth.
The first 15 floors of the Arcane Labyrinth are designed specifically for players who want to obtain a large amount of rewards, with each floor containing waves of enemies that players need to clear in order to be able to finish the challenges.
The Deep Labyrinth is a mode that is unlocked after the players have managed to complete all of the 15 normal floors of the Arcane Labyrinth and is a special endless mode where players will be able to challenge the floor as much as possible until all of their team members and heroes are defeated in battle. This mode does not provide players with rewards upon its completion. However,this mode’s result will be counted towards the overall ranking of Arcane Labyrinth and will result in players being able to obtain various rewards once the Arcane Labyrinth progress is reset after every week, depending on their ranks in the leaderboard.
Arcane Labyrinth - Challenge Stages & Relics
During the challenges in Arcane Labyrinth, players will be faced with different choices to choose in order to advance further in the labyrinth. Each choice will make the players challenge different types of enemies and enemies of different factions depending on your choices, with each completed challenge giving you a special something in return for your choices.
For each stage completed, players will be able to obtain relic shards. These relic shards provide players with many beneficial buffs throughout their challenge run in the Labyrinth, allowing them to do more challenge stages thanks to the buffs. In addition, each relic has 2 stages that players can obtain, with more levels equalling a better buff overall for the entire team. It is important to note that players only have 4 Relic slots for the entire floor challenge in the Arcane Labyrinth so players should choose their relics wisely to be able to clear the Labyrinth.
Furthermore, once players have obtained multiple copies of the same relic shards, players can obtain special crests to further boost the buffs given by each relic, allowing players to strengthen their team even more to aid in the Labyrinth challenge.
Arcane Labyrinth - Fitz’s Store & Pure Crystals
Pure crystals are the currency that players can use exclusively in Arcane Labyrinth. These items can be obtained after players have finished certain stages in the Labyrinth and can be obtained even more with certain stages that will reward extra pure crystals once players have managed to defeat all of the enemies.
The pure crystals can be used in a multitude of ways in the Labyrinth challenge, one use is to change the Crest selections that players can choose by consuming 20 pure crystals. But the more important usage of these pure crystals are for the special Fitz’s Store stages.
During the Labyrinth challenge, players might encounter Fitz's store choice. Entering the Fitz’s store will give players a rest from fighting and allow them to use Pure Crystals to buy special relic shards and items to help strengthen and aid the team in the Labyrinth. Typically Fitz’s Store will appear around the halfway mark into the challenges and at the end of the challenges, before the start of the final boss. Therefore, players should pay attention to this and buy the commodities available in the Fitz’s Store to have a better chance of clearing the labyrinth.
Arcane Labyrinth - Tips & Tricks For Fast Clears
Bring Your Best Teams
The Arcane Labyrinth rules make it so that you can’t pick and choose your heroes aside from the very first time you assign your heroes into battle. Meaning you can’t use a wide range of heroes once you have entered the challenge. Therefore, players should pick out the best heroes that they have available in their roster to fill the deployment slots before challenging the stages.
Furthermore, the level and rarity of all heroes within the Labyrinth will be set to a specific level and rarity, so players do not need to worry about whether or not their heroes are underleveled, they just need to bring the best possible heroes that they can bring into the Labyrinth.
Choose Your Relics & Crests Wisely
As mentioned, each run of the Labyrinth will only give players up to 4 relic slots, making it difficult for them to overly increase the power of the team with a large variety of buffs. Therefore, players need to choose which of the relics they should get according to the team they are running and they should also choose the relic’s crests wisely.
The rule of thumb is that the higher the rarity of the crest, the more beneficial the effects it will provide to the entire team. However, depending on your team, even if the crest is not of high rarity, the effects they provide might be more beneficial for the entire team and your playstyle. So players need to read carefully and consider which crest’s effects are the most beneficial for your team.
Choose Your Fights Wisely
Each floor of the labyrinth consists of 15 stages that players need to pass, but not all of them need to be battle stages. In addition, the HP amount and the energy of the entire team are carried over throughout the Labyrinth challenges. Therefore, players should pay close attention to the team’s current state and choose their battles wisely to ensure that the team will be able to clear till the final boss in order to complete the floor and obtain the special rewards at the very end.
