With AFK Journey entering its honeymoon phase for players after Its release with a large amount of event and gacha currencies from the Game Release Limited Time Events and Mails, allowing players to obtain up to 200 free pulls simply by completing missions, logging into the game or obtaining premium currencies and summoning tickets through the mailing system. With so many gacha currencies at their disposal, many players might not know which of the game’s gacha banners they should spend their hard earned premium currencies on to maximize their ability to obtain the best possible heroes in order to advance in the game.

AFK Journey Gacha Banners - What You Should Know
For AFK Journey, the gacha system is mainly divided into 4 different banners, each with their own specialized summoning tickets and players can spend the summoning tickets special to each banner to do a pull on the specific banner or spend their premium currencies to exchange for the banner’s summoning ticket.
Each of these summoning banners have a different rate from each other and a special pity system unique to each banner that players need to know and understand to maximize the gain from these banners for the players to obtain the most amount of new and meta characters.
All-Hero Recruitment
All-Hero Recruitment is AFK Journey’s normal banner and the gacha banner that players will be able to use most of their free summoning tickets on to roll for new characters.
All-Hero Recruitment Banner contains, as the name suggests, all the normal heroes in the game at all rarities. The rate for S Rank heroes that players can obtain is locked at 2.05% with A Rank heroes at 22.5% rate and the rest of the rates are divided between special hero upgrading materials. Every time players have made a total of 60 pulls, they will be guaranteed 1 S Rank Hero in their pulls.
Many players might be unconvinced and don’t want to roll on this banner due to it having All of the Heroes in the game, making it harder to obtain a specific new hero. However, there is a special mechanic associated with this gacha banner that players can take advantage of in order to be able to obtain new heroes. And this mechanic is known as Wish List.
Using the Wish List mechanic, players can choose 2 S Rank Heroes and 2 A Rank Heroes of each fractions in the game, making the summoning pool into a 8 heroes rate up totally, making it easier for players to obtain specific heroes of each fractions and allow players to not obtain heroes that they already own.
Rate Up Recruitment
Rate Up recruitment is a special banner that increases the rate of a specific Hero in the game, some of which may even be limited time only Heroes. For this special banner, the summoning tickets will be different from the All Hero Recruitment Banner, making it harder for players to roll on the banner by only allowing players to roll on the banner with premium currencies instead.
With all the limitations, however, the Rate Up Recruitment is the single best banner in the game if you want to roll for a specific S Rank character in the game as the summoning pool for this banner contains the S Rank Rated Up Hero exclusive, meaning if you were to obtain a S Rank on this banner, you will be guaranteed to obtain the Rate Up Hero. The Rate of this banner has also been increased from 2.05% from the All Hero Recruitment banner into 3% and the pity for 1 S Rank hero has also been lowered from 60 pulls to 40 pulls only.
That being said, while this banner is by far the best banner to obtain specific S Rank Heroes in the game, there are 2 points that players need to be aware of before rolling on the banner. The first point is that since the banner only contains 1 S Rank Hero, you won’t be able to obtain other S Rank Heroes while rolling on the banner. And the most important point is that, the number of S Rank Rated Up Hero players can obtain from this banner is restricted according to the highest rarity hero in the players’ party. The higher the rarity of the highest rarity hero in your party is, the more chances you get to obtain the S Rank rate Up Hero. Once used up, players will not be able to roll on the Rated Up Recruitment banner any longer until it changes to another S Rank hero.
Epic Recruitment
Epic Recruitment is the 3rd recruitment banner in the banner that uses a special exclusive summoning ticket that is extremely difficult to obtain from normal means. However, it is the single best banner that players can roll on if they want to roll for heroes that they don’t have yet.
In the Epic Recruitment banner, players can choose 5 out of the roster of S Rank heroes in the game and put them on the rate up summoning pool. If the player is to obtain an S Rank hero in the banner, they will be guaranteed to obtain one of the five chosen heroes. The pity of the banner is also very low at 30 pulls for a guaranteed S Rank Hero.
There’s some restrictions to this banner as well. As mentioned, this banner can only be rolled on when players have obtained very special summoning tickets that can only be used on this banner. This means that players can’t even uses the game’s premium currency to exchange for the summoning ticket to roll on this banner even if they want to.
Which Banners Should You Focus On
For New Players
For beginners and new players, as mentioned, with the game’s limited time launch celebration event, players can obtain a large amount of Summoning ticket for the All-Hero Recruitment banner, with the pity for that banner also reduced from 60 pity to 30 pity for a limited time when players first start.
Therefore, players should focus on rolling on this banner at the start of the game using the free summoning tickets in order to obtain various new heroes to add to their roster and diversify their teams first before attempting to roll on other banners.
For Casual Players
Once players have passed the beginner stages of the game and have built decent teams to farm in the game, players should consider not rolling on the All-Hero Recruitment banner anymore unless they are awarded with free summoning tickets. Instead they should turn their attention to the two other rate up banners - The Rate Up Recruitment Banner the Epic Recruitment banner

It is highly recommended that players spend their premium currencies on the Rate Up Recruitment banner in order to obtain at least 1 copy of the Rate Up S Rank hero as they might not be available again after the banner has ended. In addition, once players have attained a certain numbers of Epic Summoning tickets, they should also turn their attention to the Epic Recruitment Banner in order to choose 5 best characters that they want and roll to obtain one of the 5 to further strengthen their teams or obtain the heroes that they really want from that banner.
