General Overview
Centurion is a 6* Arcanist of the Beast Afflatus that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage to all enemies with her skills and ultimates and quickly destroying any enemies that are weak to Reality Damage
Role And Stats Analysis
Centurion is solidly categorized as a DPS character with the ability to deal Reality damage as her main source of damage. Her role in the team is to be the main damage dealer of the team in order to quickly destroy enemies with her abilities and end the stage quickly. Centurion excels at dealing reality damage and is exceptional at dealing critical damage with a mix of both ST and AOE abilities.
Centurion’s stats are among the highest and most ideal for a DPS character, with a high emphasis on her attack and critical technique stats, making her extremely powerful the more players upgrade her. In addition, the higher her insight is, the more powerful she becomes with her critical chance and critical damage stats being massively boosted.
Skills And Ultimate Analysis
- Centurion’s 1st skill - VICTORIOUS GENERAL: 1-target attack. Deals (180/270/450)% Reality DMG plus [the caster's Moxie x (8/12/20)%] Reality DMG.
Skill Ranking: S Rank
Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Centurion’s 1st skill - Victorious General is an exceptional Single target skill that deals reality damage to enemies, making them suffer extremely powerful force. In addition, this skill’s damage output also increases proportional to the amount of Moxie Centurion have, making it one of the few prime skills that can be used in order to soften an enemy up before using Centurion’s ultimate. This skill can be used at any star rating but players should aim for the highest star rating to maximize its damage outcome.
- Centurion’s 2nd skill - OUTDOOR SUPERSTAR: Mass attack. Deals (150/150/225)% Reality DMG to 2 enemies. Moxie +(0/1/2) to self
Skill Ranking: S Rank
Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Centurion’s 2nd skill - Outdoor superstar is an extremely powerful AOE skill that deals Reality damage to 2 targets on the field. This skill grants extremely powerful benefits to Centurion in the form of its additional effect of granting Centurion extra moxie levels. When using this skill, it is highly recommended that players get the skill to 2 stars rating at least to not only boost the damage output of the skill but also to trigger the additional effect to grant Centurion more Moxie. This skill should also be used before using Centurion’s 1st skill and after her Ultimate to maximize her damage output
- Centurion’s Ultimate - REALITY SHOW PREMIER: Mass attack. Deals (300/350/450)% Reality DMG and inflicts 1 stack of [Weakness] on all enemies.
[Weakness]: When the caster attacks, DMG Bonus -25% (-1 stack after trigger)
Ultimate Ranking: S Rank
Ultimate Analysis And Recommendations: Centurion’s ultimate is one of the best ultimates in the game due to its extremely simple effects but high damage modifiers. In addition, the after ultimate effect of [Weakness] massively reduces the damage output of the enemies’ next attack damage, making it easier for the team to survive after she does her ultimate.
Skills And Ultimate Recommended Order In Battle: Skill 1 > Ultimate > Skill 2. This order ensures that players will be able to fully utilizes the extra Moxie damage with Centurion’s 1st skill, then deal massive amount of damage with Centurion’s ultimate and finally uses her 2nd skill to clean up any left over enemies all the while gaining extra Moxie afterward to use her Ultimate again.
Portray Priority
Centurion does not need Portray to be able to become useful, however, the higher her Portray level is, the more damage she will be able to deal with her skills and ultimate. While not necessary, Centurion does benefit somewhat from a high Portray level.
Psychubes & Resonance Recommendations
Psychubes Recommendations:
As Centurion is one of the game’s most powerful DPS arcanists, her psychubes should focus mainly on boosting her damage output and critical hit damage capabilities, so the majority of good Psychubes for her are of the Attack type, with stats for attack, critical hit and critical damage.
Some of the best Psychubes for Centurion includes:
- Hopscotch (6*): Incantation Might +(12/18)%. For each enemy target defeated by the carrier, Ultimate Might +4% for the carrier. Stacks up to 4 times. [Centurion’s preferred Psychube as it massively boost her damage potential for her ultimate]
- Thunderous Applause (6*): Critical Rate +(10/16)%. Amplification: When the carrier’s 1-target attack scores a critical hit, Critical DMG +16%. [Also one of Centurion’s preferred Psychube if players are more keen on using her 1st skill and dealing critical damage with her skill]
- Tomorrow Also (5*): Critical Damage +(11/20)% .When the carrier casts an Ultimate, Critical Rate +10%. [A less expensive alternative to Hopscotch, is good for general ultimate damage boosting usage]
- An Afternoon Nap (5*): Critical rate +(7/13)%. When the carrier’s 1-target attack scores a critical hit, the carrier gains Critical DMG +3% (stacks up to 4 times). [A less expensive alternative to Thunderous Applause, functions basically the same as it but with less damage boost]
Resonance Recommendation:
For Resonance, Centurion benefits most from Attack, Damage and Critical Oriented Resonances for her role as a DPS character with a mix of Defensive Resonance as well to keep her alive.
Team Compositions Recommendations
As Centurion is a DPS character, her role in a team is the main damage dealer, making her team compositions be divided into 2 different types of teams as followed:
Damage Oriented Team: DPS + Sub-DPS + Survival Support
All Rounder Team: DPS + Damage Support + Survival Support
Damage Oriented Teams:
For this type of team, Centurion’s damage output and required power will be less intensive as there will be a sub-DPS character to help carry her load, allowing players to not rely too much on the main DPS’s strength.
Sub-DPS options includes: A Knight (6*), Druvis III (6*), Regulus (6*), and other DPS characters.
Survival Support options includes: Medicine Pocket (6*), Sotheby (6*), Balloon Party (5*).
All Rounder Teams:
All rounder teams relies heavily on 1 DPS damage output and the buffs provided to boost their damage by the damage support character, therefore, to make this kind of team, players will need to have both a good DPS character and a good Damage Support Arcanist to be able to maximize the damage output done by a single DPS Arcanist.
Damage Support options includes: An-an Lee (6*), Pickles (6*), Bkornblume (5*), X (5*), Click (5*)
Survival Support options includes: Medicine Pocket (6*), Sotheby (6*), Balloon Party (5*).
Final Verdict
Arcanist Rank & Role: S Rank Damage Dealer
Roll Priority: Top Priority, one of the most valuable 6* currently in the game, if she is on rate up, players should attempt to roll for her right away.
Build Priority: Top Priority, one of the game’s most powerful DPS characters that players should build immediately upon obtaining.
Closing Thoughts: A wonderful performance artist and a powerful Arcanist of the Beast Afflatus, Centurion is the model example of a good damage dealer character in Reverse: 1999 with her extremely powerful but versatile skill kit, making her a worthy investment in the long run for all players.
