General Overview
Melania is a 6* Arcanist of the Beast Afflatus that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage to single enemies with her skills and ultimates and stealing enemies’ Moxie when she is in her special Thief Master state, allowing her to gain massive benefit from her skill kit and a massive boost in damage.
Role And Stats Analysis
Melania, similar to Centurion, is solidly categorized as a DPS character with the ability to deal Mental damage instead of Reality damage as her main source of damage. Her role in the team is to be the main damage dealer of the team in order to quickly defeat the boss enemy and end the stage. Her main role in a team is as a boss killer that deals massive amounts of Mental Damage.
Melania’s stats are extremely high for a 6* Arcanist with a majority of her stats being focused on her offensive stats such as attack, critical rate and critical damage. However, when compared to other Arcanists of the same rarity, Melania’s critical rate stat is quite low, so she is not cut out to be a critical damage dealer.
Skills And Ultimate Analysis
- Melania’s 1st skill - Silent Takedown: 1-target attack.Deals (200/250/400)% Mental DMG and Moxie -(0/1) for the target,and Moxie +(0/1) for the caster. If the caster is in Thief Master,this attack steals 1 additional Moxie from the target.

Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Melania’s main skill and an extremely powerful single target skill that is the bread and butter of Melania’s whole skill kit. This skill is extremely powerful and is chock full of powerful effects that turn Melania into a damage machine. At 2 star rating and above, when using this skill while Melania is in the Thief Master state, Melania will be able to reduce the enemies’ Moxie by 2 points and gain 1 Moxie for herself. If it's at 3 star rating, she will instead steal 2 Moxies from the enemy and receive 2 Moxies instead, allowing her to quickly gain Moxie to be able to use her Ultimate.
- Melania’s 2nd skill - Clockwork Rats: Mass attack.Deals (120/180/300)% Mental DMG to 2 enemies.This attack enjoys Leech Rate +20%. If the caster is in Thief Master,Moxie +1 and extra Leech Rate +30% for the caster.

Skill Analysis And Recommendations: Melania’s 2nd skill is a decently powerful skill that deals AOE Mental Damage to enemies. While this skill has a low damage modifier overall, this is made up by the special increased leech rate that allows her to recover some HP while using the skill. The additional effect when she is granted Thief Master is quite beneficial with the skill granting her 1 Moxie, allowing her to use her Ultimate more quickly.
- Melania’s Ultimate - Ridiculous Eyewitness Testimony: 1-target attack.Deals 650% Mental DMG. Inflicts 1 stack of Thief Master on the caster.

Ultimate Analysis And Recommendations: Melania’s Ultimate is a decently powerful single target Ultimate that deals Mental damage with high modifier. This ultimate is also the effect that grants Melania the Thief Master status, allowing Melania to enhance her skills.
Skills And Ultimate Recommended Order In Battle: Skill 1 and Skill 2 to gather as much Moxie as possible. Uses Ultimate right away whenever it is available to grant Melania her special effects from her skills. After obtaining Thief Master status, prioritize using Melania’s 1st skill over 2nd skill.
Portray Priority
Melania’s Portray priority is her 2nd Portray, which grants her an additional stack of Thief Master status whenever she uses her Ultimate. This Portray massively increases the consistency of her skill kit overall and is a Portray that players should aim for if they have resources.
Psychubes & Resonance Recommendations
Psychubes Recommendations:
As Melania is one of the game’s most powerful DPS arcanists, her psychubes should focus mainly on boosting her damage output and critical hit damage capabilities, so the majority of good Psychubes for her are of the Attack type, with stats for attack, critical hit and critical damage.
Some of the best Psychubes for Melania includes:
- Luxurious Leisure (6*): After the Carrier casts a single-target Ultimate, DMG Dealt increases by (5/9)% (this effect stacks up to 3 times). [Melania’s best Psychube as it massively boost her damage output after she uses her Ultimate, allowing her to deal even more damage with all of her skill and even her ultimate.]
- Brave New World (6*): After the carrier casts an Ultimate, Incantation Might of the next incantation +(20/40)%. [Melania’s 2nd best Psychube as it massively boosts the damage potential of her skills after she uses her Ultimate skill, which players want to do anyway to grant Melania the special Thief Master status.]
Resonance Recommendation:
For Resonance, Melania benefits most from Attack, Damage and Critical Oriented Resonances for her role as a DPS character with a mix of Defensive Resonance as well to keep her alive.
Team Compositions Recommendations
As Melania is a DPS character, her role in a team is the main damage dealer, making her team compositions be divided into 2 different types of teams as followed:
Damage Oriented Team: DPS + Sub-DPS + Survival Support
All Rounder Team: DPS + Damage Support + Survival Support
Damage Oriented Teams:
Melania is a 6* DPS Arcanist that deals massive amounts of single target damage, so her role in the team is to be the main DPS character and the boss killer. Therefore, players should use a Sub-DPS that has good AOE damage potential and a support character to boost both DPS damage output and survivability.
Sub-DPS options includes: A Knight (6*), Druvis III (6*), Regulus (6*), and other AOE DPS characters.
Survival Support options includes: Medicine Pocket (6*), Sotheby (6*), Balloon Party (5*).
All Rounder Teams:
All rounder teams relies heavily on 1 DPS damage output and the buffs provided to boost their damage by the damage support character, therefore, to make this kind of team, players will need to have both a good DPS character and a good Damage Support Arcanist to be able to maximize the damage output done by a single DPS Arcanist.
