With Echoes farming being one of Wuthering Waves most important mechanics and gameplay function, it is extremely important that players have a thorough understanding of the system that is intricately linked to the process of echoes farming - The Data Bank

Data Bank - What You Need To Know

The Data Bank is a function that players unlock at the start of the game once they have managed to unlock the ability to absorb Echoes. The Data Bank serves as the game’s and the players’ way to keep track of all the Echoes that they have previously seen and obtained throughout their journey. When players obtain a brand new Echoes, all of their data will be added into the Data Bank and players can view all of the important information on the Echoes through it.

The Data Bank also allows players to look at all of the Resonance Effects that the different Echoes provide, and even track the Echoes that the players want to farm. The Data bank is divided into 20 different levels and leveling up this level is extremely important for the players’ progression.

Data Bank Levels - Why Is It Important And How To Level It Up Quickly

The Data Bank level is one of the game’s main ways to hold players’ progression to a certain point in the game, restricting so that players can’t obtain high level and high rarity Echoes until they have reached a certain point in their progress. The Data Bank level is divided into 20 ranks, with each rank increase granting players a different type of benefit related to Echoes absorbing and farming.

The higher your Data Bank level is, the higher the rarity of Echoes players will be able to obtain and the better the chance of obtaining Echoes when defeating wild enemies increases. At each Data Bank Level upgrade, players will also be able to obtain special rewards for each level increased.

To obtain EXP to level up the Data Bank, players will need to run across the map many times to absorb every possible Echoes that are available in the game, at every rarity possible. The first capture instance of each individual Echoes will net players a set amount of EXP, increasing proportional to the rarity of the Echoes. Once players have obtained the highest rarity of the echo at that moment, players will not be able to gain additional Data Bank experience. This means that in order to level up to Rank 20 of the Data Bank, players will need to have captured ALL Echoes in the game at 5* Rarity at least Once.

Data Bank - How To Obtain 5 Stars Echoes

In order to obtain 5 Stars Echoes, players will need to have reached SOL World Level 4, meaning they will need to have reached Union Level 30. Once that is fulfilled, they need to level up the data bank to level 15 at least. 

The following are important milestones players need to reach in order to obtain higher rarity Echoes:

- At World SOL Level 3 (Union Level 20), players can increase their Data Bank level up to 8, allowing them to obtain 4* Echoes and they can increase the chance of obtaining 4* Echoes up to 80% at Data Bank Level 14.

- At World SOL Level 4 (Union Level 30), players will start to be able to obtain 5* Echoes at a 30% Chance once they have unlocked Data Bank Level 15, increasing up to 50% chance at Data Bank level 18. 

- At World SOL Level 5, players will be able to obtain 5* Echoes at a 80% Rate once they have increased their Data bank level to 19 and 20.

Wuthering Waves World Bosses - How To Obtain 4 Cost Echoes

As part of leveling up the Data Bank and in order to obtain the best types of Echoes necessary for every single character builds, players will undoubtedly need to challenge the different World Bosses available in the game in order to obtain their echoes to increase the Data Bank Level and build your favorite Resonators using their Overlord Class Echoes. Therefore it is important to know about how the World Bosses Works in Wuthering Waves.

World Bosses - How Do They Work

As the name suggests, World Bosses are important bosses that show up in many different places throughout the world map and each of them are extremely powerful in their own right.

The majority of World Bosses are available for players to challenge right away once they have unlocked the World Bosses function and have discovered their locations on the overworld map. However, some of these World Bosses are locked behind story quests and story progression of the main quest, so players should do the main story to its fullest in order to unlock all of the bosses.

The world bosses can also be challenged as a group in co-op, though some of the World Bosses are exceptions such as Dreamless, Crownless and Mech Abomination. When defeated, these bosses will drop their special echoes, the 4 COST Overlord class Echoes.

World Bosses Farming - How To Obtain Overlord Class Echoes

Overlord Class Echoes, or more commonly known as Cost 4 Echoes, are extremely powerful Echoes that serve as the centerpiece in all character builds due to their powerful effects and their amazing sub stats. These Echoes are the only Echoes in the game that have the ability to have Critical stats such as Critical Rate and Critical Damage% or other important stats like Healing Bonus as their main stats, making them very unique. In a typical Resonator build, players will need to have at least 1 Overlord Class Echo of the same Resonance Set as the Resonator’s element in order to build them correctly and complete the Resonance Effect of the echo set.

In order to farm Overlord Class Echoes, it is important players understand that these Echoes can be obtained simply by defeating the Overworld Bosses, meaning you only need to defeat them and do not have to spend Waveplates to claim the challenge rewards to obtain these Echoes. Meaning, without spending any Waveplates, players can essentially cycle through the different World Bosses on the map in order to defeat them in order and obtain their Overlord Class Echoes. 

The World Bosses have a respawn time of 1 minute after the game has updated, meaning if players were to want to farm specific Overlord Class Echoes, they simply need to wait 1 minute between fights in order to fight the bosses again. Please do note that the chance and rarity of Echoes dropping from the bosses are still influenced by the Data bank Level, therefore to obtain the best Overlord Class Echoes, players should first level up their Data Bank level as much as they can.
