Wuthering Waves Echoes Farming Guide - Most Effective Routes
Update: 5.27.2024
With Wuthering Waves launching to many players excitement and enthusiasm, some dedicated players have been able to achieve a high enough Union level to start the real midgame and end game of Wuthering Waves, the majority of these players have started focusing on the truly important end game progression - Echoes Hunting. To be more specific, players can focus on the Elite Echoes hunting where special powerful Echoes will appear in certain locations on the map that players can defeat in order to obtain their Echoes and strengthen the characters.
As it is such an important mechanic for the game, it is important for players to fully understand the mechanics behind Echoes and what they bring to the characters in Wuthering Waves. In addition, players will also be shown some of our personal best routes to farm Elite Echoes, allowing players to farm them more efficiently.
Echoes & How To Get Them
Echoes are special farmable abilities that players can obtain from defeating enemies on the overworld and by defeating certain special bosses with a chance to drop their Echoes. These Echoes provides the players with special stats boosts, special Echoes synergy buffs and most important of all - a special Echoes skill
Echoes Skills
Every Resonator can equip up to 5 Echoes in order to boost their ability, however, the first Echo is the most important one as it determines the special Echo skill players can use on the Resonator on the battlefield.
Once equipped, each individual Echoes will provide a unique skill to the Resonator equipped with it, allowing that Resonator to either transform into the Echo in order to do the attack or summon the Echoes on the field for extra damage or healing. These Echo skills have their own unique countdown time and are dependent on which Echo are equipped to which resonator, meaning in a team, players can equip up to 3 different Echo Skills to all 3 Resonators in the party to use the Echo’s abilities and skills in combat.
Different Classes Of Echoes
In Wuthering Wave’s 2nd Close Beta Test, Echoes have their rarity divided into 4 different classes - Common Class, Elite Class, Overlord Class and Calamity Class.
Each of these classes of Echoes are further divided into the 6 elements to fit with the Resonators’ elements: Aero, Electro, Fusion, Glacio, Spectro, and Havoc.
The higher the rarity of an Echo is, the more powerful their Echoes skills and Stat bonuses are. However, in exchange for that, higher Class Echoes will cost more COST for the Resonator to equip, making it harder for players to equip all of the strong Echoes on the same characters all at once without going over the Echoes Cost.
It is also important to note that, while different Echoes might share the same Common or Elite Class, there are also different Ranks assigned to the Echoes, based on their rarity and power from 1 to 4, with the higher rank Echoes from the same class to be more powerful and cost more COST to be equipped to the Resonators.
Sonata Effects
Once a certain set of Echoes of the same class or elements are equipped to the same character, their Sonata Effect will take into effect, allowing the character to obtain special bonuses and damage boosts based on the set effects.
Each and every Echoes in the game are categorized into different sets of Echoes that players can obtain and once a certain amount of Echoes from the same set are equipped, they will grants special bonuses depending on which of the Echoes set the players have equipped the Resonator with and how much Echoes of the same set were equipped.
As there are 5 slots of Echoes, the Sonata Effects will kick in once 2 of the Echoes from the same set are equipped, granting players the first Set bonus effect, increasing the Elemental Damage of the Resonator based on the Echoes Elemental Set that players have equipped the Resonator with.
Once 5 of the Echoes from the same set are equipped, the Resonator will be able to obtain both the 2 Set effect and activate the 5 set effect at the same time, granting special unique effects to the Resonator’s power based on the different Echoes set they have been equipped with.
How To Obtain Echoes
For the Common Class Echoes, they can be obtained simply by defeating enemies on the overworld with a chance of dropping the Echoes. Once players have defeated the enemy, the players can immediately absorb the echoes and the majority of Echoes obtained this way is of the Common Class Echoes.
For Elite Class Echoes, they can also be found on the overworld. However, they appear more rare than the Common Class Echoes and do not seem to have specific reliable spawn points on the map. In addition, after defeating the Elite Monsters, the chance of them dropping an Elite Echoes is also rather low, with higher ranks Echoes not having the best of drop rates in the game, making them highly sought after and is a way to progress in the end game for building Resonators.
Lastly, while farming for Echoes, players might also have a very very slim chance of obtaining Echoes of a different variety from their usual counterparts. These Echoes are known as Shiny Echoes and they are extremely rare with different patterns, color and even abilities. So if players want to spend more time on Wuthering Waves, trying to get these Shiny Echoes might prove to be a very interesting pastime.
Best Routes To Farm Echoes
These are the best routes to farm Echoes and Elite Echoes according to the data we gathered from the 2nd Close Beta Test for Wuthering Waves. Please keep in mind that the actual location of the enemies might be slightly different on other players’ maps and the Echoes may move while you are running along these routes.
In addition, please take into account that while these enemies spawn in these locations during the 2nd Close Beta Test, the actual locations for the enemies might change completely once the game is released.
Finally, please note that this route concerns Common and Elite Class Echoes, with Elite Class Echoes sometimes not appearing due to their low appearance rate. Therefore, players might need to run these routes a couple of times in order to obtain the maximum amount of Echoes on any given route.
