Wuthering Waves Guide to Echoes, Data Bank, and How to Farm More
Wuthering Waves is a new open-world action RPG that comes with story rich gameplay, and you, as the Rover, will play a role in reclaiming your lost memories. In this journey, several weapons, as well as the equipment, can play a huge role as accessories or as armor to power up your resonators. The best strength here comes with the echoes, so this guide is made to show you what these echoes are, what their data bank is, and how you can farm more of these echoes.

What are Echoes?
Echoes are a type of equipment used in the Wuthering Waves game. They are there to increase your resonator stats and will act as a main course for their strength. These echoes have five slots in total for your use, and the first slot here will be available with an active Echo Ability, while there is no specific order for the rest of the other slots.
Based on the classes, echoes do have their own COST requirements, and the resonators have a COST limit of 10 whenever they start. The COST ranges will go from 1 to 4 here by the classes. None of the resonators can pass this cost limit to equip their echoes, but if you want, you can increase the COST limit up to 12 with Data Doc upgrades. The cost of echoes under each class is going like this:
-
1 COST for a Common Class
-
3 COST for an Elite Class
-
4 COST for an Overlord Class
-
4 COST for a Calamity Class
Main Stats of Echoes
Every Echo in Wuthering Waves features both main and sub-stats, while there are two mains and five subs for each. For each Echo, we can see different primary main stats, yet secondary stats are fixed with the classes. The primary main stats currently there for echoes based on their classes are as follows.
Class |
Primary Main Stats |
Common Class |
HP%, ATK%, DEF% |
Elite Class |
HP%, ATK%, DEF%, Energy Regen%, Elemental Damage Boost |
Overlord Class |
HP%, ATK%, DEF%, Crit Rate%, Crit DMG%, Healing Bonus% |
Calamity Class |
HP%, ATK%, DEF%, Crit Rate%, Crit DMG%, Healing Bonus% |
Please note that the elemental and main energy regeneration stats can only be taken from the Elite class, and the Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and Healing are only to be obtained from the boss classes. Also, the Elemental Damage Boost is only going to pick a random element, and it will not be all the Elemental damage boosts at all.
The secondary main stats for echoes in Wuthering Waves based on the Echo class go as follows.
Class |
Secondary Main Stats |
Common Class |
Flat HP |
Elite Class |
Flat ATK |
Overlord Class |
Flat ATK |
Calamity Class |
Flat ATK |
When you upgrade the echoes by five levels, the echo sub-stats are also going to be generated randomly from any of the following sub-stats.
-
Flat ATK
-
Flat HP
-
Flat DEF
-
HP%
-
DEF%
-
ATK%
-
Crit DMG%
-
Crit Rate%
-
Basic Attack DMG Bonus%
-
Heavy Attack DMG Bonus%
-
Resonance Skill DMG Bonus%
-
Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus%
Although you can level up the echoes to increase their main stat bonuses, you cannot do the same to sub-stats, and those cannot even be changed. The sub-stats have to be tuned in order to unlock more of them. Echoes also have a maximum level based on their rarity, and there will be rarity levels from Rank 2 to 5. If an Echo is high in rarity, it means its stats are also higher, and once it is upgraded, the Echo can reach its highest max level.
Unlock More Sub Stats with Tuning
In Wuthering Waves, the mechanism that we use to unlock more Echoes sub-stats is called the tuning, and we can unlock these slots by using Convene materials depending on the tiers.
How to Collect Echoes?
You can collect echoes by beating enemies, and when a Tacet Discord is beaten, there is a high chance that it will leave some echoes there. Based on the level of your Data Dock, the rarity as well as the drop rates of the Echoes you absorb will be changed. The enemies you see in the Wuthering Waves world are going to reset daily, and every world has a unique time for it. It means that you have a chance to visit the world of another person and give your efforts to farm echoes in there as well.
There is a fair system that goes with loot in Co-Op because every player there can earn Echo whenever they manage to make a kill. So you can group up with more players and roam through other worlds to farm more echoes effectively. Still, if you are aiming towards a specific set, try focusing on the Tacet Field with a 60 energy cost.
The Data Bank in Wuthering Waves
You can check your current Data Dock progress from the Data Bank, and this is a place to see what types of echoes you have already earned. There are three sections in here as follows.
Data Dock
Data Dock is researching your drop rates of echoes, the enhanced absorption probability, the maximum absorbable rarity, and the COST limit. Please note that these all go with the upgrades of the Data Dock, and to upgrade it, you need to have more unique echoes. If you feel like you are already stuck on leveling up the Data Dock, you can try checking the Data Gallery, and from there, you can track what you have already missed.
-
The Echo Drop Rate – this will start from 10% in the Data Dock and can even raise a maximum of up to 20% with the Data Dock level 10
-
The Maximum Absorbable Rarity – this defines how high a rarity you can earn while absorbing the echoes. Starting from Rank 2, the rarity can be raised up to Rank 5 with level 15 of this Data Dock, and please note that you can earn one rarity that doesn’t exceed the maximum absorbable rarity here. As an example, suppose you have the Rank 4 as your maximum absorbable rarity. So, the lowest echo rarity that you are allowed to have is Rank 3.
-
Enhanced Absorption Probability – this is what determines your chance of earning a high rarity echo. It will start at 20% and go even higher to 100% when the Data Dock level reaches level 20. So, within a limit of 15 for a week, you will have a 100% chance here to collect echoes that are dropped by the bosses.
-
COST Limit – the resonators are not allowed to exceed the COST limit when they are equipping their echoes. The Cost Limit goes from 10 to 12 when the Data Lock goes with level 9.
Echo Gallery
This is an Echo compendium in Wuthering Waves, and you can use it to check your progress in the Echo collection, the Data Dock you earned from every Echo type, and the Sonata effect of the Echoes. Then, you can track them all through your map.
Sonata Gallery
Every Sonata or the set effects can be checked through this gallery, and you will know what each Echo does and what Echo comes within selected sonata effects here. Echoes in the Wuthering Waves will also be featured with sets, and if you manage to equip several echoes from the same set, it gives your resonator some additional bonuses. We have nine different echo sets, each with 2 to 5-piece bonuses, and please note that there will be no set bonuses if you equip the same echoes several times.

The Data Merge in Wuthering Waves
If there is any echo that you no longer need, you can recycle them in Data merge, and this will allow you to generate a random new echo. So, if there is any echo to throw away, use this chance to evolve something more useful.
