Best Zhezhi Build - Overview

 

Zhezhi is a top tier Glacio Sub-DPS that deals impressive amounts of damage, while providing Glacio and Resonance Skill Amplification to the next Resonator that takes the field.

 

She can also build her Concerto Energy within one of the simplest and fastest rotations in the game, which makes the Moonlit Cloud echo set a great option for her supportive abilities.

 

 

Best Zhezhi Build - Weapon

 

 

Zhezhi can make use of most of the currently available Rectifiers in Wuthering Waves. While her signature weapon is her Best in Slot, Cosmic Ripples and Stringmaster are alternatives if you have one available for her. The damage comparison ratios can be found below, with the requirement of 150% total energy recharge being reached (40% from substats while equipped with Moonlit Clouds).

Rime-Draped Sprouts - 5 Star Rectifier

 

Zhezhi’s Best in Slot weapon and signature weapon, Rime-Draped Sprouts. This weapon provides Zhezhi with the best on-field and off-field damage across all options. Most of Zhezhi’s kit is considered Basic Attack DMG, so Basic Attack DMG Bonus is perfect for Zhezhi and makes up for the lack of rolls you may have from your echo sub stats.

The 52% Basic Attack DMG Bonus at R1 when the wielder is off-field separates this weapon from other options by a massive margin. Other 5-Star options deal slightly less damage while on-field.

 

Stringmaster - 5 Star Rectifier

 

Stringmaster is a good alternative 5-Star weapon for Zhezhi if you have a spare one available or can borrow it from Yinlin during Tower of Adversity and Depth of Illusive Realms. Although it is not worthwhile solely pulling this weapon for Zhezhi, it does provide 36% Crit Rate which makes it very easy to build a consistent Crit Rate on Zhezhi and use a Crit DMG 4-Cost Overlord Echo instead of Crit Rate.

 

Zhezhi requires 150% Energy Regen as well, which means you will need to use a Energy Regen 3-Cost Echo until you have at least 40% ER from substats while using the Moonlit Clouds set.

 

Cosmic Ripples - 5 Star Rectifier

 

Some consider this an F2P weapon because you can select it as your weapon of choice when reaching Union Level 45. This weapon is a very good option for Zhezhi as it provides 12.8% Energy Regen which makes it easier to build 2x Glacio DMG Bonus 3-Cost Echoes instead of a combination of Glacio DMG Bonus and Energy Regen. Zhezhi can also make full use of its Basic Attack DMG Bonus as most of her kit is considered Basic Attack DMG Bonus.

Augment - 4 Star Rectifier

 

Augment can be acquired from the Pioneer Podcast (the Battle Pass system from Wuthering Waves). This is the best 4-Star option for Zhezhi, providing Crit Rate and ATK to increase her damage while off field. Zhezhi will need 150% to consistently proc it’s passive each rotation.

An R5 Augment will still deal significantly less damage than your 5 star options, so if you are thinking about spending $50 just for an R5 of this weapon, consider spending an additional $50 and obtaining her BiS instead.

 

Jinzhou Keeper - 4 Star Rectifier

 

Jinzhou Keeper only provides more damage than Rectifier#25 (4-Star Recitifier) when Zhezhi has 150% Energy Regen and 2x Glacio DMG Bonus 3-Cost Echoes. If Zhezhi is using 1x Glacio DMG Bonus and 1x Energy Regen 3-Cost Echoes, then Jinzhou Keeper does slightly less damage than Rectifier#25.

 

Rectifier#25 - 4 Star Rectifier

 

Rectifier#25 is the best F2P option after Cosmic Ripples (5-Star Rectifier). This weapon can be created and obtained for free from an NPC in Tiger`s Maw, making it easy to R5 this weapon.

 

Its Energy Regen secondary stat makes it easy to use 2x Glacio DMG Bonus Echoes for Zhezhi and eliminates the need for an Energy Regen 3-Cost Echo. This weapon with this setup will deal slightly more damage than Jinzhou Keeper with an Energy Regen 3-Cost Echo at the same weapon rank.

 

Guardian Rectifier - 3 Star Rectifier

 

Guardian Rectifier is the best 3 Star option for Zhezhi.

 

 

Best Zhezhi Build - Echoes

 

 

Endgame Build

 

Zhezhi can make easy use of a 5pc Moonlit Clouds as a Sub-DPS to provide good damage with her coordinated attacks while buffing the next Resonator’s attack. An alternative for Zhezhi if you want to maximize her personal damage while sacrificing the team buffs, then using a 5pc Freezing Frost is an option.

 

4-3-3-1-1 Echo Formation for Endgame Zhezhi

Zhezhi requires a total of 150% Energy Regen to be able to cast her Liberation every rotation. While this is entirely possible from substats alone, the amount of RNG in substat rolling means it will take plenty of echoes to finally get an echo with her ideal substats. And then you need to do it again for another 4 more echoes.

The solution to this is using an Energy Regen 3-Cost Echo in place of one of her Glacio DMG Bonus Echoes. Her 1-Cost Echoes should both be ATK%.

If your Zhezhi has less than 150% Energy Regen, you will not be able to use her Resonance Liberation in each rotation, so you will have slower rotations and lower her damage per second.

 

Echo Substats

 

The best substats for Zhezhi are found below. Crit DMG is the best damage buff for Zhezhi’s damage, but you should first focus on achieving at least 70%+ Crit Rate with 75%+ being the safest margin. ATK% is the next best buff for Zhezhi although having Energy Regen is more important to reach her 150% requirement.

Basic Attack DMG Bonus is also very good for Zhezhi after ATK% as most of her kit is considered Basic Attack DMG.

Zhezhi Substat Priority

 

Best Zhezhi Build - Forte/Talent Priority

Zhezhi’s off-field damage is entirely from her Resonance Liberation and should be her first priority when leveling her Forte. Although her total on-field damage is more than her off-field damage, it is split between different skills. Most of her on-field damage is from her Forte Circuit, followed by her Basic Attack, then Resonance Skill and lastly her Intro Skill.

Best Zhezhi Build - Team Comps

 

Being one of the two 5 star Sub-DPS in the game (Yinlin being the other), Zhezhi will be a great addition to most team comps. Specifically Glacio characters, DPS characters that deal significant amounts of Resonance Skill DMG, or DPS characters that can spend a long time on field to consistently proc Zhezhi’s off- field damage.

Jinhsi - Zhezhi - Verina

 

Jinhsi’s Forte can be built rapidly from Zhezhi’s coordinated attacks while making great use of an ATK buff from Moonlit Clouds and Resonance Skill Amplification.

 

Lingyang

 

Zhezhi is a great addition for Lignyang and mono-Glacio team comps with her ATK buffs from Moonlit Clouds. Lingyang can also make full use of the Glacio and Resonance Skill Amplification from her Outro Skill.

 

Changli

Changli is another DPS that benefits greatly from ATK buffs and Resonance Skill amplification. Although Changli has short burst rotations of damage, Zhezhi is a great option for Changli.

 

Baizhi

Baizhi is a suitable replacement for Verina and works well at S6 in mono-Glacio team comps.
