Zenless Zone Zero

Bangboo Tier List

Last updated: 09/07/2024

About the Tier List:

The tier list aims to rate the different Bangboos available in Zenless Zone Zero based on their general abilities, the buffs they provide to the team and their overall combat and support performances on the battlefield with different teams.

The Bangboos will be judged based on their on field damage potential with their Active Skill and their Chain Attack Skill, and the overall special buffs that they provide the team as an ally thanks to their Additional Abilities once the conditions are fulfilled.

The Bangboo tier list is separated into 3 different categories: Element Centric Bangboo, Faction Centric Bangboo and General Use Bangboo.

- Element Centric Bangboos are Bangboos that can be used to boost the power of specific Elemental Damage team comps.

- Faction Centric Bangboos are Bangboos that can be used to boost the power of special Faction centric team comps

- General Use Bangboo can be used in any team as long as their additional abilities’ conditions are met.

Note: The tier list does not take into account the difficulty of fulfilling the Bangboo’s Additional Abilities condition. All Bangboos are being rated on the assumption that they are equipped to a team that can fulfill all of their conditional requirements for their Active Skill, Chain Attack Skill and Additional Abilities.

Rating Information:

S Tier: S Tier Bangboos are either extremely powerful when being on field and help provide the team with a substantial damage output against the enemies or they provide the team with massive and useful stats and buffs when they are brought to the fight.

A Tier: A Tier Bangboos are generally good in terms of supporting the team or are decent in on field combat, making them generically good to bring to battles for generic teams that can not fulfill the conditions for S Tier Bangboo’s effects.

B Tier: These Bangboos offer small buffs to the team when they are brought to the battlefield and require much investment to become good or usable, making them not as valued as other Bangboos.

  • Short Descriptions:

For Bangboos, we consider the effects that the Bangboo brings to each team when their additional abilities are fulfilled and these Bangboos are considered the best of the best when used in the right team:

- For Elemental Centric Team Bangboos: Sharkboo, Rocketboo, Bangvolver, Resonaboo and Plugboo each offer extremely powerful buffs to their respective elemental teams: Ice, Fire, Physical, Ether and Electric. These S Tier bangboos are crucial when building Elemental teams. For DevilBoo, Cryboo, Penguinboo and Electroboo at A Tier, these can be considered as budget options to replace the S Tier Bangboos.

- For Faction Centric Team Bangboos: All current Faction Centric Team Bangboo - Butler, Safety and Amillion - are S Tier Bangboos when they are used in their respective Faction team thanks to their wonderful synergy with their respective teams.

-For General Use Bangboos: The bangboos of this category are ranked based on how good their buffs and effects are since they can be used in all generic teams. In terms of ranking, Boollseye and Paperboo offer both offensive and defensive buffs to the team, making them S Tier. Exploreboo, Bagboo and Booressure are A Tier thanks to their offensive abilities and chain attacks. Avocaboo,Sumoboo and Magnetiboo are B tier due to their lack of offensive abilities and lack of chain attack skills, making them pure support Bangboos.

Bangboo Guide - How To Get The Best Bangboos

Bangboos - Everything You Need To Know About Them

Bangboos are the mascots of Zenless Zone Zero and are special extra agents that players can bring into battle to help the team by providing the team with various stat boosts, buffs and even help damaging the enemies on the field when conditions are met.

How To Unlock The BangBoos System

While players are able to obtain specific Bangboos at the start of the game and play test some of the special Bangboos at the start of the game, players will only be able to start obtaining and use their own Bangboos after they have completed a specific commission quest after they have completed the 1st Main Story Chapter of The game.

After completing this commission and unlocking the shop, players will be able to upgrade and bring Bangboos with them into battle using their own Bangboos.

How To Obtain BangBoos

After players have completed the special Commision to unlock the Bangboo modifier shop, they will be able to obtain Bangboos through various means, including in-game events, special missions and more. However, in order to obtain the majority of Bangboos to play around with and upgrade in order to add to the team, players will need to roll for them on the special Bangboo Channel

Bangboo banner

The Bangboo Channel is a special permanently available Gacha banner where players will be able to obtain the different Bangboos in the game at A rank and above. Keep in mind that Boopons, the currency used on the Bangboo channel are only given out as events and commission rewards and can’t be bought in other ways, so players can only roll a set amount of time on the Bangboo Channel each update patch.

Players will be guaranteed to obtain a S Rank Bangboo after doing 80 pulls on the banner. Players can pick which of the S Rank Bangboos they will be able to obtain with a 100% rate up, making it easy for players to get the specific Bangboos that they are aiming for for certain teams.

Bangboo Skills And Abilities

In combat and exploration, when choosing a team to enter the Hollow Zone, players will be able to choose a Bangboo to bring along aside from the 3 Agents on the team as a support mascot. Each different Bangboos have a different characteristic and buff that they can provide to the entire team when certain conditions are met.

Bangboo 2

Each Bangboos have 3 different abilities that can be activated in battle whenever a condition is fulfilled, allowing them to provide players with special buffs to the team or to help deal damage to the enemies alongside the Agents in battle:

- Active Skill: This ability can be activated in battle and is the Bangboo’s main skill which allows it to do damage to enemies and provide beneficial effects to the team.

- Additional Abilities: A special buff to the entire team when certain conditions are fulfilled when forming a team. The conditions are dependent on the specialties, factions and elements of the Agents currently in the team.

- Chain Attack Skill: An ability that is only activated during the battle whenever the Agent on the field initiates a Chain Attack, allowing the Bangboos to take the field and deal damage to the enemies, triggering another Chain Attack immediately afterward.
