Zenless Zone Zero Agents Stats - Everything You Need To Know
Like with other gacha games and most other RPG games, stats and builds plays an important part in making a character good to use in many challenging situations and battles, and a properly built character with a good stat spread to fit their playstyle plays an important role in making or breaking a character when players use them. Zenless Zone Zero is the same with the stats of the Agents plays an important role in the different builds that the Agents can have and their overall Offensive and Defensive capabilities when on field. There are many different stats in Zenless Zone Zero and some of them might not be as well explained as others, so here are the important stats and mechanics that players should know and understand when building an Agent:
Attack & Critical Stats
Like most other games, the generic offensive stats for Agents in Zenless Zone Zero are the Agent’s Attack Stat and their Critical Stats - Critical Rate and Critical Damage.
The Attack stat is quite simple, the higher the attack stat of an agent, the more damage they do. Every Agents have their own base attack stat that can be increased with ascension and the Agent’s attack stats can be increased with W-Engine’s Attack Stats or Drive Disc Attack Percentage buffs.
Critical Stats are also quite familiar with many players, with the need to balance a good spread of critical rate and critical damage being the more important aspects of most of Hoyoverse’ game. The higher the Critical Rate, the more likely it is for the Agent to initiate a critical hit, and the damage of the critical hit is increased based on the Critical Damage Stat of the Agents.
Health & Defense
Similar to the offensive stats, the generic Defensive stats for Agents in Zenless Zone Zero are also quite universal, with Health and defense.
Health is the main defensive stat, with the more health the Agents have, the more attacks they can take before they are knocked out from the enemies.
Defense is also a very important defensive stats, with the higher the defense, the less damage the Agents will take from enemies attacks.
Some Agents skills’ and abilities also deal extra damage proportional to their Health or Defense stats.
Elemental Damage & Resistance
Elemental Damage is also a staple in most Hoyoverse gacha games, with the damage output by Agents being increased proportional to the percentage of Elemental Damage increase from their builds.
Elemental Damage is a special damage modifier that is applied at the end of the damage formula, making it scales better than Attack when building Agents, therefore, players should focus on boosting the Agent’s Elemental Damage Percentage in anyway they can.
Elemental Resistance works in the opposite way, with many enemies in Zenless Zone Zero having different Resistance to different types of elemental damage. Therefore, agents with elemental resistance reduction are very important when fighting against these enemies to help boost the team’s overall damage dealt by reducing the enemies’ defensive stats.
Energy Regeneration Rate
Energy and Decibel Regeneration are also important in Zenless Zone Zero as all Agents in the game require energy in order to use their EX Special Skill and players need to acquire as many Decibel points as quickly as possible in order to trigger Agents’ Ultimate.
Energy Regeneration Rate stat help boost the Agent’s Energy regeneration, making them generate energy for EX Special Attack and Ultimate much faster.
Daze, Stun & Impact
A unique mechanic in Zenless Zone Zero is the enemies’ special Daze gauge under their HP bar. Each attack taken by enemies will increase their Daze gauge and when the gauge reaches maximum, the enemies will enter stunned mode and will allow players to trigger special Chain attacks with Agents when this happens. Some enemies have higher daze gauge and stun resistance than others, and the agent’s ability to inflict Daze is increased proportional to their Impact stat.
Impact is a special stat that only affects the amount of Daze gauge an Agent’s attacks will deal when attacking enemies. Increasing an agent’s Daze gauge will increase the amount of Daze they inflict on the enemy but does not affect the damage they deal directly. This stat is extremely crucial for agents that want to inflict as much Daze as possible to stun the enemies.
Anomaly Proficiency & Mastery
Another of Zenless Zone Zero unique combat mechanics revolves around the special Attribute Anomaly Effects that Agents can trigger when attacking an enemy constantly with attacks of the same element continuously, filling up the enemies’ Anomaly Attribute Circle. This mechanic and its damage is tied to the different Elemental Damage Types and their effect in addition to 2 different stats in the game: Anomaly Proficiency and Anomaly Mastery.
Anomaly Proficiency helps boost the rate that Agents fill up the Attribute Anomaly Effect wheel and triggers the Attribute Anomaly Effects. The higher the agent’s Anomaly Proficiency is, the faster the Agents can trigger the Attribute Anomaly Effects with their attacks.
Anomaly Mastery helps boost the damage of the Attribute Anomaly Effect that the Agent triggers when they fill up the wheel. The higher the mastery, the more damage the single damage instance is. However, it is important to note that high Mastery Agents need to be the one that triggers the Attribute Anomaly to take advantage of the damage increase.
Zenless Zone Zero Agents Stats - Which Stats To Focus On
Attack Agents
For Attack Agents, since they serve as the main DPS of the team, players need to focus as much offensive stats as possible into them, so offensive stats such as Attack, Critical Rate, Critical Damage and Elemental Damage Percentage are crucial for Attack Agents.
Defense Agents
For Defense Agents, they mainly serve as tanks and help supplement the damage output of the team occasionally, therefore, players should focus on Defensive stats such as Health or Defense for them. Other supporting stats such as Elemental Damage Percentage, Impact and Energy Regen can also work on them.
Support Agents
For Support Agents, they serve to support other Agents on the field with their skills, therefore they need to get skills as quickly as possible. Players should focus on investing in Energy Regen on Support Agents in addition to Anomaly Proficiency or Elemental Damage Percentage to help boost their damage.
Anomaly Agents
Anomaly Agents, as their name suggests, focuses on triggering Attribute Anomaly Effects, so players need to focus on the 2 Anomaly stats - Proficiency and Mastery to help boost their damage.
Stun Agents
Stun Agents mainly serve as sub DPS on field with their ability to quickly raise the enemies’ Daze gauge, so it is important to boost their Impact stat and give them high offensive stats like Critical Stats and Elemental Damage Percentage to help boost their damage output as well.
