Zenless Zone Zero Close Beta Characters Tier List - Who To Roll For
With Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test coming to an end and players have had their chance to try out as many Agents in combat as possible. However, with the Amplifying test ending and players experiences taken into account, it is reasonable to say that an initial Amplifying Test Tier List of all the currently available Agents can be made in order to inform other players of the game of the best possible Agents they should look forward to playing when the game comes out.
In this article, we will propose to players an initial Agents tier list of all the Agents in Zenless Zone Zero and rate them based on their performance, their mobility, their gameplay styles and more based on what they can do in the Amplifying test and based on general gameplay data and experience.
Please note that this information is taken from Zenless Zone Zero’s Close Amplifier Beta Test, meaning that some of these contents may experience some changes and adjustments once the game officially launches and may differ from the details listed in this article.
The rating in this guide is entirely subjective and is based on personal experience and opinions of the players of Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test. Therefore, if you think that some of the Agents ratings are incorrect, please let us know (with details) and we will consider changing their ratings.
S Tier Agents
These Agents excel at what they do in combat in terms of both overall on field combat performance and mobility. These Agents are among the best of the best available Agents in Zenless Zone Zero and should be prioritized when players attempt to roll for the Agents in game. They also require little in terms of materials and weapon investment to make them shine in battle, making them very ideal for players to aim for when starting the game.
Ellen Joe
A part of the Victorian Housekeeping Co., Ellen Joe is a S Rank Agent of the Ice Element that excels in her job of cleaning enemies off the street. Ellen Joe’s main ability and the reason why she ranks so high as an Agent is her ability to deal massive amounts of Ice Elemental damage to enemies when she is granted her unique status - Flash Freeze, allowing her to quickly freeze the enemies in her way while dealing constant damage to them. When frozen enemies are hit by her attacks, she will shatter them, dealing even more damage, making her a very powerful Ice elemental DPS.
Nicole Derama
A free agent available for all players, Nicole Derama is a A Rank Agent of the Ether element. Nicole’s high ranking is thanks to her being one of the most powerful crowd control and supporting Agents. Her skill allows her to create opportuned environment for her allies by trapping enemies. Coupled this ability with her being a free Agent, this makes her into a very powerful and highly accessible Agent for all players.
Ben Bigger
Another Free Agent that players can grab after finishing the 2nd Main Story Chapter, Ben Bigger is an A Rank Agent of the Fire element. Ben Bigger specializes in countering enemies' attacks by blocking their attacks and dealing back the damage to them tenfold, making him a very defensive wall to tank enemies attacks and counter attacks,and turning him into an indestructible wall with powerful fire power.
Billy Kid
Another one of the free A Rank Agents that players can get, Billy Kid is an agent that can deal Fire element damage to enemies. Billy Kid’s high ranking is thanks to his immensely mobile moving and firing style with his dual pistols, allowing him to fire at multiple enemies at once while constantly moving and dodging enemies’ attacks.
Zhu Yuan
Zhu Yuan is a Limited S Rank Agent of the Ether element with the ability to quickly defeat all enemies by bombarding them with a myriad of bullets. Zhu Yuan’s high ranking is thanks to attacking range and her abilities to deal ridiculous Ether Dmg with her Enhance shotshells, allowing her to quickly destroy any enemies standing in her way.
A Tier Agents
These Agents perform well in many fights and help to supplement the Agents at the S Tier in a suitable team. The agents themselves can perform well on their own, however, their capabilities are either lesser than that of S Tier Agents in terms of damage output or in terms of the difficulty in their playstyle.
Grace Howard
Grace Howard is a S Rank Electric Anomaly Agent with the ability to deal AOE Electric Elemental damage to enemies. Her abilities allow her to deal massive amounts of AOE Electric damage to enemies and reduce their defenses, making her a very suitable sub DPS/ Support Agent.
Alexandrina Sebastiane
Alexandrina Sebastiane is an S Rank Electric Elemental Support Agent that excels at crowd controlling large groups of enemies and applying the Shocked status to them. Her high mobility allowing her to dodge enemies’ attacks and her skills to crowd control the enemies on the field are very valuable to have as a Support Agent.
Von Lycaon
Von Lycaon is an S Rank Agent that deals Ice Elemental damage to enemies and is one of the game’s best Daze centric Agents. His fast attack animations and abilities allows him to quickly fill up enemies’ Daze meter, allowing him to Stun the enemies faster, creating good opportunity for allies to initial Chain Attacks.
Koleda Belabog
Koleda is an A Rank Agent that deals fire elemental damage and is one of the game’s powerful Daze centric Agents. Her abilities allow her to quickly raise the enemies’ Daze meter and deal extra Fire elemental damage to enemies who are stunned once their Daze meter fills up, allowing her to deal good damage.
Nekomiya Mana
Nekomiya Mana is an S Rank Agent that focuses on dealing Physical damage. Her nimble mobility and attacks that deals many hits to enemies allows her to quickly raise the enemies’ daze bar and help her dodge oncoming enemies attacks, making her a very nimble and easy to use Agent against large groups of enemies.
Soldier 11
Soldier 11 is a S rank Agent that deals Fire Elemental damage. She is capable of dealing massive amounts of Fire Elemental damage on her own with her skills and abilities, making her a prime Fire Dmg DPS option for players.
B Tier Agents
These B tier Agents perform the worst out of the available agents out of the game, be it because of their less powerful skill kits overall when compared to others, or them being too clunky to play with low mobility. These Agents can still work in different teams, however, players may need to invest heavily into them, making it costly to make them work.
Anby Demara
Anby Demera is a free A Rank Agent that deals Electric Elemental damage. Unlike her two colleagues, Nicole and Billy, Anby’s damage output and mobility, while decent, still leaves room for desire when compared to other more powerful Agents options that excels at dealing Electric Elemental damage.
Anton Ivanov
Anton Ivanov is an A Rank Agent that deals Electric Elemental Damage. Similar to Anby, Anton suffers mainly from the fact that, while his skill kit still deals a decent amount of damage, his clunky playstyle and low mobility makes him falls short when compared to other Agents that can excel at their job of dealing Electric elemental damage and support other Agents better on the battlefield.
Corrin Wickes
Corrin Wickes is a free A Rank Agent that specializes in dealing physical damage to groups of enemies. Being one of the few characters that only deal physical damage, Corrin Wickes’ skills and abilities does not allow her to help the team create elemental reactions, making it a very bad point in her favor. Coupled this with her slow attacking animations and generally slowness in terms of mobility makes it so that Corrins Wickes’ damage output suffers greatly compared to others.
Soukaku
Soukaku is an A rank Agent that deals Ice elemental damage to enemies. While her abilities and skills are good on paper and do allow her to freeze enemies, Soukaku’s lackluster damage output and difficult to use skill kit make her into a very investment heavy Agent when compared to other Agents sharing her same gimmick.
