Zenless Zone Zero Beginners’ Guide - How To Gain EXP In The Game
For many players who want to experience the full extend of what Zenless Zone Zero have to offer to all players in terms of in game contents, game modes, story and more, it is extremely important for players to be able to level up quickly in the game in order to unlock all of the most important contents that the game have to offer. Therefore, there are some important factors that players need to know and understand in order to advance quickly into the game and unlock all of what the game have on offers:
Main Story Quests & Story Locked Contents
As with other gacha games, Zenless Zone Zero is a game that is focused on the main story quests of the game, with a heavy emphasis on players having to have finished different main story quests in order to advance in the game.
However, unlike Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail where players are able to do multiple different contents like world exploration in order to find chests and treasures that help not only boost the players’ EXP and gives them rewards, Zenless Zone Zero’s progression system is a bit more limited in that players can only gain EXP through a certain means, and the fastest way possible for players to be able to advance quickly in the game is through completing the main story of the game as quickly as possible every time players have access to it.
In addition, certain game’s aspects and functions are effectively locked behind specific main story commissions and requires players to have completed the main story to a certain point in order to unlock these functions. Therefore, the first thing players need to do in Zenless Zone Zero is to follow the main story of the game as far as they can and unlock all of the important functions that will be needed to upgrade agents and more.
Commissions & Errands
Another way for players to quickly level up in Zenless Zone Zero lies with the 2 special gameplay mechanics of Commissions and Errands.
Commissions serve as the game’s side quests and they are available periodically after players have completed the main story quests up to a certain point in the game. During these points, players will not be able to progress further in the game’s main story quests and will have to complete special commissions during those times in order to obtain EXP and various rewards that can be used to upgrade your Agents. These commissions are divided into 2 categories: the combat commissions and the exploration commissions.
Combat Commissions focuses on players using a team of 3 agents in order to defeat waves of enemies in order to complete the commissions and obtain all of the rewards available. Exploration Commissions are more lengthy in comparison, where players will have to explore an area and complete special objectives like collect materials, rescue workers and more in order to be able to obtain all of the rewards available.
Errands is Zenless Zone Zero’s daily missions akin to Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail’s daily missions systems. Reset daily, players will need to complete certain tasks or errands and obtain points after completing these tasks. Players will be able to obtain rewards daily for every 100 points they receive, up to 500 points and a total of 60 Polychromes everyday and a lot of EXPs to level up. It is important to note that in order to unlock this system, players will need to have finished the 1st Main Story chapter in the game
VR Device & Combat Simulation
The last piece of content players can do in order to obtain large amounts of EXPs in the game is the special VR Device system that will be unlocked when players have reached a certain point in the main story.
Using the VR Device, players can access the special Combat Simulation menu and challenge different enemies based on what you select in order to obtain Agents upgrading materials, W-Engine Upgrading materials and ascension materials for Agents, W-Engines And Bangboos. Crucially, this is the game mode that players will need to use in order to spend as much of the game’s regenerating energy as possible in order to obtain players EXP and obtain various important upgrading materials to boost their team’s overall combat prowess.
In the Combat Simulation, players will have the ability to choose up to 4 different enemies types to challenge. Each of the enemy cards selected will reward players with a different kinds of currencies, character upgrading materials and more, with each card added meaning players will have to challenge 1 wave of the enemies players have picked. Each card added will increase the amount of batteries players used, up to a 100 battery per challenge and up to 4 waves of enemies in order to obtain all of the materials and 1000 Players EXP for each challenge attempt.
Zenless Zone Zero Beginners’ Guide - Tips and Tricks To Level Up Quickly
Progress In The main Story As Much As Possible
As previously mentioned, Zenless Zone Zero is a very story heavy game with emphasis on completing the main story in order for players to be able to unlock special game modes and mechanics the further they are in the game’s main story.
Therefore, players who started the game need to try their best to clear as much of the main story of the game as quickly as possible in order to unlock all of the essential game modes and mechanics in order to progress further into Zenless Zone Zero’s mid and end game points.
Always Log In And Do Your Errands Daily
As with Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd before it, Zenless Zone Zero’s main way to level up as quickly as possible and the main way to obtain the majority of the game’s premium currency in order to roll for Agents is to complete the daily missions, or in Zenless Zone Zero’s case, the daily errands.
If players want to level up quickly to unlock all of the game’s mechanics and game modes, then progressing the main story in order to unlock the daily errands should be players’ main priority.
Always Use Up Your Battery Charge In Combat Simulation
The last and most important thing that players need to do in Zenless Zone Zero in order to level up quickly is to always use up their battery charge as much as possible once it has filled up in the Combat Simulation.
Like Resin and Trailblazing Energies, Batteries in Zenless Zone Zero will gradually fill up to 240 everyday and players should time them accordingly to spend all of them in the Combat Simulation in order to obtain as much Players EXP and Upgrading materials as possible.
