Together with the upcoming release of Zenless Zone Zero Version Update Patch 1.1 - Undercover R&B, the game’s developers have been kind enough to host an interesting livestream detailing all of the important contents players can expect from the game once the update goes live, including a large variety of brand new changes to the game’s contents, update to some of the game’s game modes and functions in addition to brand new limited time events and the introduction of brand new Agents for players to play with.

Brand New Playable Agents Introduction

With the release of Zenless Zone Zero Version Update Patch 1.1 - Undercover R&B, players will have the chance to encounter and recruit 3 brand new playable Agents that will appear in the main story of update patch 1.1:

The first revealed Agent is Seth, an A Rank Agent of the Defense Agent Archetype. He belongs to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team and is one of the team members alongside Zhu Yuan, Qingyi and Jane Doe. He deals Electric damage to enemies on the battlefield and excels at tanking enemies’ damage while dishing out damage of his own by charging his shield for special attacks against enemies. Seth is a much needed addition to the Electric centric elemental team and The Criminal Investigation Special Response Faction team with his diversity in skill kit and ability to fill in many different teams thanks to his affinity.

The second revealed Agent is Qingyi, the Limited S Rank Agent of the Stun Agent Archetype. She belongs to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team and is one of the team members alongside Zhu Yuan, Seth and Jane Doe. Qingyi excels at swiftly hitting the enemies by quickly approaching them and dealing damage to them with her weapon, dealing Electric damage and quickly increasing the Daze gauge of enemies. Qingyi serves as a direct upgrade to Anby in the Electric centric Elemental team and she can help supplement other agents from the Criminal Investigation Special Response Faction.

Finally, the third Agent in version 1.1 update is Jane Doe, the Limited S Rank Agent of the Anomaly Archetype. She belongs to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team and is one of the team members alongside Zhu Yuan, Seth and Qingyi. Jane Doe is a physical anomaly agent that focuses on dealing damage to enemies and raising their attribute anomaly gauge in order to trigger Assault to deal big damage to enemies. Unlike Qingyi, Jane Doe works best as a supplemental agent in a Physical team, with her abilities making her the perfect teammate for the other Physical Anomaly Agent - Piper.

New Limited Character & W-Engine Banners

With the release of the version 1.1 Update Patch - Undercover R&B, players will be able to obtain the revealed brand new agents through 2 brand new limited rate up banners, together with brand new W-Engine and Bangboo Banners.

For Agent Banners:

- The First Phase Limited Agent Rate Up Banner will feature the Limited S Rank Stun Agent Qingyi and 2 A Rank Agents. The banner will last for a total of 21 days and will start after the version 1.1 update patch drops.

- The Second Phase Limited Agent Rate Up Banner will feature the Limited S Rank Anomaly Agent Jane Doe and the A Rank Defense Agent Seth, together with another A Rank Agent. This banner will be available right after the end of Qingyi’s Limited Rate Up banner and will last until the end of the version 1.1 Update Patch.

For W-Engine Banners:

- Together with the Limited Agent Rate Up banner for Qingyi, her signature W-Engine - The S Rank “Ice-Jade Teapot” will also be available for players to roll on.

- Afterward, similarly, with the Limited Agent Rate Up Banner for Jane Doe and Seth, their signature W-Engines - The S Rank “Sharpened Stinger” and the A Rank “Peacekeeper - Specialized” will also be on rate up.

With the release of Version Update 1.1, players will be treated with a whole host of brand new limited time events and changes to the existing gameplay features and gamemodes in Zenless Zone Zero.

Brand New Events

In version 1.1 players will be able to participate in several brand new limited time events to obtain various rewards:

- Main Event - Camellia Golden Week: The main event of version update 1.1, finish this event to obtain a large amount of Polychromes and the limited A Rank W-Engine “Camellia”

- Side Event - First-class Customer Service: A side event that allows players to obtain Polychromes, Boopons and more event rewards.

- Side Event - Daily Life of A PubSec Officer: A side event that allows players to obtain Polychromes, Boopons and more event rewards.

- Log In Event - All-New Programm: Log In for 7 days during the event duration to obtain a total of 10 Encrypted Master Tapes.

-  Log In Event - “Eh-Nah” Into Your Lap : Log In for 7 days during the event duration to obtain a total of 10 Boopons.

Gameplay Changes And Updates

With the version Update 1.1 release, several big changes will come to Zenless Zone Zero Hollow Zero and Shiyu Defense game modes.

With the update to the game, the Hollow Zero game mode will be simplified and will experience several changes to its mechanics and gameplay. Unlike in the official launch content patch, when playing the Hollow Zero gamemode, players will be able to directly choose the different Resonia buffs and encounter events while they traverse the arena areas, without having to return to the TV Exploration area, allowing players to quickly move between the different battles much quicker. In addition, special brand new permanent contents and stages will be added to the Hollow Zero game mode, expanding the scope of the game mode and offer players a large amount of rewards by challenging these brand new challenge stages.

The Shiyu Defense game mode of Zenless Zone Zero will enter its 2nd patch rotation with brand new buffs, new stages and new enemies added to the rotation stages, so players should pay attention to the brand new buffs in these challenges in order to make the best team to tackle the game mode and obtain all of the rewards before the rotation resets after every half month.
