Zenless Zone Zero VR Simulation Training - Everything You Need To Know
Like many other games from Hoyoverse, Zenless Zone Zero requires players to build up a lot of their Agents in order to form many different teams to challenge the different difficult contents in the game. This process undoubtedly will cost players a lot of resources and materials in order to be able to make good teams and build up their Agents enough for the more challenging enemies. In order to help with this, Zenless Zone Zero offer players a game mode where they can spend their energy in order to obtain various Agents and W-Engine Upgrading materials in the form of the VR Simulation Training.
VR Simulation Training - How To Unlock
In order to unlock the VR Simulation Training, players will need to have reached Account level 10 at least and have completed the main story of Zenless Zone Zero to a certain point in the main story chapter 1. Once the players have reached this point, they will receive a commission to meet at Coff Cafe and are asked to help with the Cafe’s business. There, they will be able to meet with the VR Simulation Training Promotional person and will lead to the players unlocking the VR Simulation Training Gamemode at the HIA Gameclub.
Once unlocked, players can go back to the HIA Gameclub to use the VR Simulation Training at any time during their adventure to farm for Agents upgrading materials and more.
VR Simulation Training - How To Play
Unlike other gacha material farming game modes, the Zenless Zone Zero VR Simulation Training Game mode has quite a bit of different mechanics that players need to understand. The VR Simulation Training interface is divided into 5 different sections, each corresponding to one of the 4 important types of materials players will need to farm in order to upgrade their different Agents and W-Engines and the last section is for mixed farming.
The first section is Basic Materials, players can clear the different stages in this section to obtain various EXP and upgrading materials for both Agents upgrading and W-Engine upgrading purposes. Players can also farm Dennies and Drive Disc upgrading materials.
The second section is the Agent Promotion materials, divided into 5 different stages, each dropping a set amount of Agents Promotion materials of a specific Agent Archetype: Attack, Defense, Support, Anomaly and Stun.
The 3rd section is the W Engine Modification materials. Similar to the Agent Promotion materials, this section is also divided into 5 different stages, each stage featuring the Modification Materials for the 5 different types of W-Engines: Attack, Defense, Support, Anomaly and Stun.
The 4th section is the Agent skill materials. This section is divided into 5 different stages, each dropping corresponding skill upgrading materials for Agents of the 5 different elemental damage types: Ice, Fire, Electric, Physical and Ether.
Finally, the final section is the mix section, where players can choose whichever stages they can challenge and obtain a mix of different materials depending on the stages they choose from the 4 other sections.
VR Simulation Training - Enemy Cards & Energy Cost
Unlike other farming modes where the enemies and challenge waves are predetermined by the game, when players farm materials in the VR Simulation Training, they will be able to choose their own enemies waves and combinations to challenge based on the different materials they want to obtain using the enemy cards.
Each challenge attempt in the VR Simulation Training allows players to equip up to 5 different enemies cards, each card providing a ser amount of materials depending on which type of enemies players choose to challenge. The more enemy cards players choose, the more enemies they will face with each challenge attempt and the more materials they will obtain per challenge.
Additionally, each enemy card will cost 20 battery charge in order for players to claim their rewards after each challenge, meaning in order to claim the rewards, players will need to spend their battery charge proportional to the amount of enemy cards they have equipped in order to obtain the rewards, increasing to a maximum of 100 battery charges per challenge.
VR Device - Agent Academy Test
In addition to the VR Simulation Training game mode that is accessible to all players in the HIA gameclub, players will also be able to unlock the VR Device at the video store once they have unlocked the VR Simulation Training by advancing in the main story.
The VR Device in the Video Store can be used to initiate Agent Academy Tests, allowing players to play test and have a better understanding of the different Agents’ playstyle and combos in addition to being able to experience the intricacies of the game’s combat system.

Make Sure To Map Out Materials Amounts
It is important for players before they spend their battery charges on the VR Training Simulation to obtain upgrading materials to map out and sort out all of the necessary materials that they might want or need.
The higher the players’ account level is, the higher rarity materials and the more materials players will be able to obtain from each challenge attempt at the VR Simulation Training, therefore, players should plan the materials out in advance and wait till they are high enough level to obtain more beneficial materials.
Take Advantage Of The Mixed Section
The mixed section of the VR Simulation Training gamemode is unlocked after players have reached account level 30 in the game, allowing players to obtain materials from all of the different 4 other sections at the same time in 1 attempt.
This mechanic is extremely useful for players as they can obtain multiple materials needed to upgrade a single Agent or multiple Agents at the same time with only 1 challenge attempt, therefore, players should take full advantage of this mechanic to be able to obtain all the materials they need as quickly as possible.
Pay Attention To Natural Battery Charge Regeneration
All players have a maximum of 240 Battery Charge to spend on the various game modes in Zenless Zone Zero and each battery charge point is regenerated once every 6 minutes, meaning players will be able to obtain a total of 240 Battery Charge every day with natural regeneration. However, players should keep in mind that if the charge hits maximum, they will not be able to gain extra Battery Charge from natural regeneration.
Therefore, in order to maximize farming efficiency, players need to try their best to not let the Battery Charge reach its cap in order for the Battery Charge to regenerate at all time and allow players to challenge more times in the different game modes.
