With AFK Journey entering its 2nd month of operation and many of its players have managed to enter the game’s mid game points with its many interesting gamemodes and rewards available, it is important for players to have a better understanding of some of the game’s most important game modes in order to be able to obtain the most amount of rewards and advance further in the game than other players in order to claim their spots on the server’s top leader board and obtain all of the best rewards from the leaderboard to advance even further in the game.
One of the more challenging game modes that are designed for mid and end game contents for AFK journey that players will have the chance to face is the special Legend Trials game mode. This game mode serves as one of the game’s challenge contents in the sense that it requires players to have a good understanding of the game’s core mechanics, a well built team for all 4 of the normal factions in the game to be able to successfully clear individual trials and will offer generous rewards for those who successfully climb the towers by clearing the towers with various exclusive currencies, premium currencies and even important resources that players need to use to upgrade their teams further to prepare for the future.

Legend Trials - What To Expect
Legend Trials is a special challenge game mode in AFK Journey where you are required to tackle different trials and stages and climb 4 different towers - the Tower of Light, Tower of Nature, Tower of Eternity and Tower of Will. Each of these towers correspond to 1 of the 4 normal factions of heroes in the game and this game mode requires players to use only the heroes from the corresponding factions to tackle the trials in each individual tower. The more you advance in the tower, the harder the stages become, but the rewards will also become more bountiful as well.
There are a total of 90 trial stages for each tower, making it a total of 360 stages that players can challenge in order to obtain rewards such as hero ascension materials, hero leveling materials, exclusive currencies, premium currencies and even summoning tickets. The rewards players can obtain will be corresponding to the faction of the heroes and the tower they are challenging, allowing players to obtain rewards catering to specific teams of heroes and factions.
The availability of each tower changes depending on the day of the week, so players can only challenge certain towers on certain days. Therefore players should pay close attention to the schedule in order to be able to challenge the trial that they want to. The schedule is as followed:
- Tower of Light: Monday, Friday, Sunday
- Tower of Nature: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Tower of Eternity: Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
- Tower of Will: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
Legend Trials - Challenges & Team Building
As mentioned, the Legend Trials are divided exclusively into 4 different towers, corresponding to the 4 different normal factions that exist in the game. Once entered, players will be required to only use heroes of the specific faction to challenge the different trial stages in the corresponding tower, with the higher the floor number, the more difficult the enemies will become.
The 4 towers requires players to uses heroes of the factions as followed:
- Tower of Light: Players can only use Lightbearer Heroes.
- Tower of Nature: Players can only use Wilder Heroes
- Tower of Eternity: Players can only use Graveborn Heroes.
- Tower of Will: Players can only use Mauler Heroes.
Generally speaking, the challenges in the different towers aren’t too difficult thanks to the hero level resonance system making every hero on the same level. However, players should also pay attention to their team set up and the enemies’ attributes and factions as a single mistake can mean that you won’t be able to clear the floor.
Legend Trials - Rewards
For each floor clear of each tower, players will be rewards with rewards corresponding to the tower’s faction requirement in the form of Hero ascension Acorns, which can be used in certain stages of hero ascension to increase the rarity of the individual hero.
For every 5 floors the players clear, they will be rewarded with exclusive rewards including up to 3 summoning tickets per 5 floors cleared or Hero Essences that can be used to level up heroes further through breakthroughs.
Unlike other game modes in this game where there’s a leaderboard, this game mode is personal and is permanently available through the weekly rotation and the rewards are all first time clear rewards, so players do not need to be worried about not obtaining the rewards in time. The further the players get into each tower, the more useful and plentiful the rewards for clearing each floor will be.
Legend Trials - Tips And Tricks For Fast Advancement
Level Up Your Hero Resonance Accordingly
Before challenging each individual floor, players will be able to review the enemies’ heroes formation, level and abilities. Players need to take this into account before challenging the floor and prepare accordingly.
As this mode requires a lot of heroes to be used in order to be able to successfully clear all 4 different towers, it is extremely important for players to level up their Hero Resonance Level accordingly to the enemies’ levels before attempting to challenge each floor. This not only allows players to have all heroes to be on the same level to tackle the different floors, it also allows all heroes to gain their special abilities to be able to combat the difficult trials in their best shape possible. Try your best to match your heroes’ levels with the enemies’ is the general rule of thumb to be able to see if you can clear the floor.
Diversify Your Hero Roster
As this mode requires at least 20 different heroes in 4 teams, with 5 heroes of each faction each to challenge the respective tower, it is extremely important for players to try their best to diversify their hero roster as much as possible before attempting this game mode.
The general advice is to at least have 1 hero of each class for all 4 factions before attempting to challenge higher floors in the Legend Trial. Unlike normal gameplay where players can mismatch their team composition with heroes of different classes from different factions, players need to at least have a Tank of each faction to absorb the enemies’ damage, 1 or 2 Marksmen/ Thief/ Mage for damage output and at least 2 Support Heroes from each faction. Rogue and Warrior Heroes are generally dependent on the stage that players are challenging but having 1 hero of each class for all 4 factions are generally the bare minimum requirement to have in order to challenge the higher stages of the tower due to its difficulty.
Understand Hero and Team Synergy
As many players may be accustomed to only using one single mismatched team for every content, it is extremely imperative that players play tests to see how different teams of heroes from the same faction may interact with each other and find out about the abilities of the individual heroes.
Team synergy and heroes’ abilities are crucial in this game mode, so it is extremely valuable for players to understand how each faction of heroes work together and find ways to maximize the team’s synergy to defeat the enemies as best as possible through clever team building and hero skill synergies.
