In anticipation of Jinhsi banner releasing with the release of Wutheirng Waves’ version 1.1 update and to help players have a better understanding of how Jinshi works, her strengths and weaknesses, her strongest possible Echoes combinations, her best weapon choices and how to use her in a team, we will go over everything players need to know in order to be able to prepare for Jinhsi’s arrival and build the best possible Jinhsi once players have obtained her.

Please note that this article’s data is based on the general data that many players have gathered and have considered to be Jinhsi’s general best build at the time of writing. As the game progresses, Jinhsi’s role and meta capability may change, therefore, her builds and team compositions may change accordingly.

Jinhsi - Ascension Materials & Skill Level Up Materials

Jinhsi is a 5* Limited Specto Resonator that will be on rate up from the 28th of June, 2024, with her Rate Up Banner running for a total of 3 weeks alongside her limited rate up weapon banner.

Jinhsi Ascension Materials

In order to prepare and upgrade Jinhsi, players will need to farm several different materials in order to upgrade, ascend and level up her skills accordingly.

For generic materials such as Resonator Upgrading EXPs, Shell Credits and Weapon enhancement EXPs, players can farm those at the Training Simulation.

For Jinhsi’s ascension materials in order to help uncap her level cap, players will need to fight the World Boss Mourning Aix in order to obtain her ascension material - Elegy Tacet Core. In order to upgrade Jinhsi to max, players will need a total of 46 of these materials to fully upgrade Jinhsi to lv90.

In addition, in order to ascend Jinhsi, players will also need to go around the overworld and find a total of 60 Gloom Slough in order to upgrade Jinhsi to max lv 90. Coriolus can be found around the brand new explorable area - Mt. Firmament, if players are unsure where to find them, they can look for them on our Interactive map.

Weapons & Skill Upgrading Materials

Aside from leveling and ascension materials, in order for Jinhsi to become more powerful, players will also need to level up her weapon and her skill level using specialized materials, 1 type dropping from overworld enemies and 1 drop from specific domain that players will need to spend energy on.

For the overworld monster materials, players will need to farm the Howler Cores dropped from normal enemies in the overworld or buy them from the game’s souvenir shop. Players will need a lot of these for Jinhsi’s ascension and skill upgrade, so be sure to stock them up in advance.

For the domain specific materials, since Jinhsi is a Broadblade Weapon type user, she will need the different rarity Waveworm Residues from the Forgery Challenge: Eroded Ruins. This is needed for both for skill upgrade and weapon upgrade, so players will need to spend quite a bit of energy to get them as well.

Jinhsi - Echoes & Weapons Recommendations

Echoes Sotana Set Recommendations

As Jinhsi is an Spectro Resonator, if players want to focus mainly on boosting Jinhsi’s main damage while she is on the field, then the Celestial Light set is the natural recommended set for Jinhsi.

However, another decent set that players can run for Jinhsi to help boost her overall damage is the Lingering Tunes Sonata Set, which helps boost her attack stat when she is on the field and boost her outro skill’s damage.

Echoes Main And Sub Stats Recommendation

For main and sub stats for Echoes, Jinhsi will need a varied set of stats needed for her to shine her best as the team’s main DPS dealer while also helping to deal damage when she leaves the field.

The main stats that players should get are:

- 4 Cost Echo (Impermanence Heron): Crit Damage% / Crit Rate%

- 3 Cost Echoes: 2 Spectro Damage%

- 1 Cost Echoes: 3 Atk% Echoes

Recommended Sub Stats: Crit Rate% / Crit Damage% > Liberation Skill Damage% > Atk%

Weapon Recommendations

For Jinhsi, her best in slot weapon is of course her signature weapon:

- Ages Of Harvest (5* Limited) (Atk + Crit Rate%): Gain 12% additional DMG Bonus for all Attributes. The wielder is bestowed with divine blessings and gains 1 stack of Blessing of Ages for each Basic Attack strike, for up to 4 stacks, which is removed when the wielder leaves the field. At 4 stacks of Blessing of Ages or more, the wielder consumes all stacks of Blessing of Ages when casting the next Resonance Skill, with its DMG increased by 48% for 2.5s. This can be triggered 1 time every 6s.

For alternatives, players can use these weapons as substitutes:

- Verdant Summit (5* Limited) ( Atk + Crit Damage%):  All Resonance damage is increased by 12% . Each time an Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation is cast, the damage of the Heavy Attack is increased by 24% , and it can be stacked 2 times, and the effect lasts for 14 seconds.

- Lustrous Razor (5* Standard) (Atk + Atk%): Energy Regen is increased by 12.80% . When Resonance Skill hits a target, Resonance Liberation Damage is increased by 8% . This effect can stack up to 2 time(s) and last for 12s.

- Autumntrace (4* Battlepass) (Atk + Crit Rate%): After the Basic Attack or Heavy Attack hits, the Character's attack increases by 10% , the defense increases by 18% , and lasts for 10 seconds. It can be stacked up to 3 times.

Jinhsi Playstyle Analysis, Skill Upgrade Priorities & Recommended Teams

Jinhsi Playstyle and Abilities

Jinhsi’s main gameplay gimmick revolves around changing between her 2 different modes - her grounded mode and her aerial mode in order to deal multiple instances of Spectro damage to enemies.

Jinhsi’s normal attacks allows her to deal up to 4 instances of Spectro damage to enemies and fills up her Forte Gauge. When in Aerial mode, she will fly up in the air, have her attack intervals decreased and deal quicker attacks.

Jinhsi’s Resonance Skill allows her to summon a dragon to deal multiple instances of Spectro Elemental damage to enemies. The skill has 2 different effects and animations depending on which mode she is in.

Jinhsi’s Resonance Liberation allows her to summon her ultimate dragon to deal massive amounts of Spectro elemental damage to enemies in range. Similar in nature to Jiyan’s Resonance Liberation, her Resonance Liberation will also be enhanced and have extra effects depending on which mode she is in.

Jinhsi Skill Upgrade Priorities

Jinhsi’s main source of damage comes from her Forte Gauge and Resonance Skill, so they are of the highest priority for players to upgrade.

Jinhsi’s Liberation Release and her normal attacks also contributes greatly to her overall damage output when she is on field, therefore, to maximizes Jinhsi’s damage potential, these abilities should be leveled up after her Resonance Skill.

Recommended Teams

As a prime Spectro Damage Dealing Resonator, Jinhsi serves as the core that teams should be built around, with other Resonators that can boost her damage output and help grant her various buffs to maximize her damage potential when she is on the field.

There are 2 teams that are recommended to run with Jinhsi, the first is a more direct team that makes use of Jinhsi’s overall good Liberation Release and her damage output from her abilities by buffing her with as many buffs from allies as possible to make her a powerhouse on field. The team consist of:

Jinhsi

Yinlin
(Flexible Slot)

Verina

(Flexible Slot)

Main DPS

Sub DPS/ Damage Support

Damage Support/ Sustain

The 2nd team is a mono Spectro team that makes the best use of Jinhsi’s synergy with other Spectro Resonators. This team excels at dealing with contents that require players to deal with enemies that are weak to Spectro Element. The team consists of:

Jinhsi

Rover (Spectro)

Verina

Main DPS

Sub DPS

Damage Support/ Sustain
