Wuthering Waves - Jinhsi VS Changli - Who Should You Pull
With Wuthering Waves Update Version 1.1 - Thaws Of Eons being released for all players to be able to experience brand new exploration area, brand new quests and a myriad of brand new gameplay features and functions changes and updates coming to this special Update Patch. One of the most important aspects of the version 1.1 Update coming to Wuthering Waves that players are most excited about is of course, the introduction of the 2 brand new Limited Rate Up Resonators coming to the game alongside their signature weapons - the 5* Limited Spectro Element Resonator Jinhsi and the 5* Limited Fusion Element Resonator Changli. However, with limited resources and gacha currencies which of the 2 should players roll for?
In this article, we will go over the different abilities and combat capabilities of both Jinhsi and Changli and debate their power and usefulness in regards to the current game meta in Wuthering Waves and advises players on whether or not they should roll on Jinhsi’s Limited rate Up banner or Changli’s Limited rate Up Banner.
Jinhsi VS Changli - Who Should You Roll For
With Wuthering Waves version 1.1 update release and many players excited to try out everything the update patch have to offer, including the game’s brand new gacha banners and gameplay updates, 2 special rate up banner featuring 2 new Limited Characters will also be introduced to players during Wuthering Waves’ Version Update Patch 1.1 - Thaws Of Eons, allowing players to obtain 2 Limited 5* Resonators - he 5* Limited Spectro Element Resonator Jinhsi and the 5* Limited Fusion Element Resonator Changli
Jinhsi
Jingshi is a 5* Limited Spectro Element Resonator, she wields a Broadblade as her main weapon of choice and deals Spectro elemental damage to enemies in her path. Jinhsi’s main gameplay gimmick revolves around changing between her 2 different modes - her grounded mode and her aerial mode in order to deal multiple instances of Spectro damage to enemies.
Jinhsi’s normal attacks allows her to deal up to 4 instances of Spectro damage to enemies and fills up her Forte Gauge. When in Aerial mode, she will fly up in the air, have her attack intervals decreased and deal quicker attacks.
Jinhsi’s Resonance Skill allows her to summon a dragon to deal multiple instances of Spectro Elemental damage to enemies. The skill has 2 different effects and animations depending on which mode she is in.
Jinhsi’s Resonance Liberation allows her to summon her ultimate dragon to deal massive amounts of Spectro elemental damage to enemies in range. Similar in nature to Jiyan’s Resonance Liberation, her Resonance Liberation will also be enhanced and have extra effects depending on which mode she is in.
Changli
Changli is a 5* Limited Fusion Element Resonator. She wields a short sword in combat and deals Fusion elemental damage to enemies. Changli’s combat style revolves around her dealing constant normal attacks to enemies to fill up her Forte gauge and grants her the true Sight state, allowing her to infuse her attacks with Fusion Elemental damage.
Changli’s Normal attacks allows her to deal up to 4 instances of normal attack damage to enemies in rapid succession, with the last hit granting her the True Sight state. When in the air, players can consume her True Sight charge to deal a plunging attack, dealing Fusion damage to enemies surrounding her.
Changli’s Resonance Skill allows her to gain the True Sight state and makes all of her attacks deal Fusion elemental damage. At the end of the True Sight state, Changli will deal a plunge attack, dealing Fusion elemental damage to enemies surrounding her.
Changli’s Resonance Liberation deals a massive instance of Fusion damage to all enemies and grants her a special Fiery Feather buff, which grants her extra atk% Enflament stacks everytime she uses her Heavy attacks. Her Forte Gauge allows her to gain 1 stack of Enframement, for up to 4, and she can consume all of these stacks to deal a devastating Fusion elemental attack when using her Heavy Attack.
Which Banners Should You Roll On
Before debating on which of the 2 banners players should roll on, it is important to note that, if players were to favor one Resonator over the other due to preferences or their love for the characters’ playstyle, personality or story, then players should prioritize getting the character they like.
However, if players are debating on which of the 2 Resonators they should get purely for gameplay and meta reasons, then players should consider some of these points:
Jinhsi VS Changli - Which 5* Is More Beneficial To Have
Unlike the previous Update Patch’s gacha banner where an heavy emphasis on DPS output and a DPS comparison is necessary to determine who have the upperhand, the debate between rolling for Jinhsi or Changli in Wuthering Waves’ boils solely down to which elemental team or elemental resonators that players are missing and want to build a team around.
Jinhsi is a prime Spectro DPS character in the current meta of the game, as there are only 1 other Spectro character that can be considered a Spectro DPS Resonator (Spectro Rover), making her a very desirable Resonator to have if players were to want to ever uses the Spectro Element in many late and endgame contents and like Tower of Adversity and Tactical Hologram. In addition, she is a very powerful Resonator to herself.
Changli on the other hand, is a Fusion DPS/ Sub DPS Resonator, meaning she has to compete with other Fusion DPS Resonators in the game in terms of overall damage output like Chixia or Mortefi. However, Changli also fills a different role in Fusion Elemental teams as a Fusion Damage amplifier Resonator that boosts the overall damage output of other Fusion DPS Resonators, making her very valuable for Fusion teams.
So between rolling for Jinhsi or Changli, it depends on what you need at the current moment in the game. If the players need a Spectro Element DPS or a DPS Resonator in general, then Jinhsi is a better option to roll for than Changli. If players have already built a DPS character or want to boost the DPS of Fusion Elemental Resonators, then rolling for Changli is the more sound option.
The Rate Up 4 Stars Resonators
For players who are not rolling on the 2 Limited Banners for the 5* Resonator and solely for the 4* Rated Up Resonators, here are some comparisons that you can take into consideration as well.
Jinhsi’s banner features Sanhua,Danjin and Yangyang as the rated up 4* Resonators. All 3 of these rated up resonators are extremely good and are useful in many different team comps. Danjin is a very good Havoc element damage dealer with the ability to sacrifice her own HP in order to boost her damage output. Yangyang, while free to all players, is a very powerful Aero Resonator with great crowd controlling abilities and decent damage output with a very dynamic playstyle. Sanhua, who is also free to all players in version 1.0, is a very good support character with her ability to boost normal attacks and her overall decent Glacio damage output.
Changli’s banner features Taoqi, Baizhi and Mortefi as 4* resonators on rate up. Taoqi is a very good defensive sub DPS character with her ability to grant the team shield whenever she parries enemies’ attacks. Mortefi is an excellent Fusion sub DPS with the ability to fire constant Fusion elemental damage towards the enemy even when he is not on the field and have the ability to increase the team’s overall damage output and fill the team’s Sonata gauge quickly. Baizhi, while is free to all players, is a powerful healer and is one of the only 2 healing Resonators in the game currently with powerful and amazing buffs that not only keep the team alive but also help to supplement the team’s damage output.
