Wuthering Waves Special Launch Livestream Information - What You Need To Know
As Wuthering Waves is ever nearing its official release on multiple platforms for all the eager players to take a looks and play the game on the 23rd of May, 2024, a series of special livestreams have been held in order to provide players with details and special rewards in advance of the game’s official release in order to inform players of the multiple different coming to the game and the upcoming contents players can expect from the game first official update patch release - update 1.0. The livestream features a multitude of Voice Actors providing players with many important information that players should know before starting their journey in Wuthering Waves.

Wuthering Waves Special Information - Gacha System Changes
The first and one of the most important points of information that the livestream provides is regarding Wuthering Waves’ gacha mechanics and important changes that are coming to the gacha system of the game.
Novice Convene & Special 5* Resonator Selector Banner
Revealed in the special pre-launch livestream, players will have the chance to obtain up to 2 Standard 5* Resonator by rolling in 2 different types of banners at the start of the game, both intricately linked with each other and requires players to spend the normal gacha currency on them to obtain the 5* Resonator. The two banners have different mechanics tied to them so it is extremely important that players know how to distinguish between how these 2 “Standard” banners work.
Firstly, the Novice Banner will remains the same as it was in the Close Beta Test, meaning players will be able to do 50 pulls at a 80% discounted price on the Novice banner and they will be able to obtain a RANDOM 5* Resonator among the Standard 5* Resonators.
Once the Novice Banner have been completed and players have obtained the random 5* Resonator from the Novice Banner, a special Standard Selector Banner will take its place. On this Standard Selector banner, players can choose which of the 5 Standard 5* Resonator they want to obtain and the players will be guaranteed to obtain the Resonator of their choice after rolling 80 Pulls.
It is extremely important for players to be able to understand how these banners work to be able to reroll on the game and maximize their account potential.
Limited Banners Schedules
Alongside with the announcement of the Special Standard Selector Banner, players were also provided with details regarding the first 2 Limited Banners for the game after it was launched.
The first Limited banner that players can expect is the limited Rate Up banner for Jiyan, together with his signature weapon upon the game’s launch on May 23rd. This banner will feature Jiyan as the Limited 5* Resonator, along with Chixia,Danjin and Mortefi as 4* Rated Up Resonators.
After the first limited Rate Up Banner for Jiyan and his signature weapon, players will be able to roll for Yinlin in her own Limited Rate Up Banner on the 13th of June together with her signature weapon. The Limited 5* resonator on rate up will be Yinlin, with Taoqi, Aalto and Yuanwu as 4* resonators on rate up.
This announcement also reveals that future limited character rate up banners will be available for 3 weeks for each banner, so players should plan their spending accordingly.
Wuthering Waves Special Information - Brand New Contents And Quests
Alongside with the changes to gacha system and the reveal of the first few limited gacha banners coming to Wuthering Waves upon its release, several brand new contents and quests have also been teased as upcoming contents for the game.
New Main Story Quest - Prologue & Chapter 1
As it is with the game’s close beta, players will be able to experience the first 2 main chapters of the main story for Wuthering Waves in the form of the first chapter - Prologue and the 2nd main story chapter - Chapter 1. These chapters will be divided into several different Arcs that players can complete.
With the release of the official game and the first update patch, players will be able to enjoy the main story up until the brand new Chapter 1 - Act 6 with the 5th and 6th Act of chapter 1 have never been revealed during the game’s Beta Test.
Brand New Resonator Companion Quests
In addition to the Main Story Quests as the main contents of Wuthering Waves, an additional type of quest has also been introduced for Wuthering Waves in the form of Resonator Companion Quests.
In these quests, players will have the chance to explore the world together with different Resonators when starting their Companion quests, allowing players to learn their backstory, motivations and try them out in actual combat against enemies in order to see if players want to roll for them in the game’s gacha system.
The first patch of Companion Quests that players can play includes Companion Quests for Jiyan, Yinlin and Jingyang. Along with new updates, future companion quests for other Resonators will be gradually added as well.
New Character Teasers
Besides the special teases for the game’s in game quests, special teasers have also been released for some of the brand new Resonators that will be added into Wuthering Waves in the future, after the release of Jiyan and Yinlin on their respective Limited Rate Up Banners.
The teased characters includes: Jingshi as a future 5* Resonator, with archive reading: “Being the Magistrate of Jinzhou, Jinhsi bears her noble and weighty share of duties.”
And the other teased character is Changli, another future 5* Resonator, the “Counselor to the Jinzhou Magistrate, Changli excels at leveraging human nature to corner her enemies into traps.”
Wuthering Waves Special Information - Game Launch Special Rewards
Together with the game launch and to celebrate the upcoming contents coming to Wuthering Waves, special campaigns will be held to reward players with massive amounts of rewards in order for players to have the perfect start in their journey into the world of Wuthering Waves.
Pre-Registration Rewards Achieved
With the successful Pre-registration campaign reaching a total of 30 Millions Pre-registrations, all players who start their journey in Wuthering Waves will be rewarded with all of the Pre-registration rewards:
- At 5 Million: Shell Credit x50,000 (The common currency of the game)
- At 10 Million: Advance Resonant Potion x10 ( EXP for Resonators)
- At 15 Million: Astrite x200 (The premium currency of the game, equal to 1 pull)
- At 20 Million: Sigil En Route
- At 30 Million: Lustrous Tide x20 ( 20 pulls on the normal banner)
In addition, players will also receive a Ranger’s Series Weapon of Choice Box which allows player to choose 1 4* weapon of their choice.
Special Launch Celebration Rewards
To celebrate the launch of Wuthering Waves and as a thank you gift for all players who have been anticipating the release of the game, the game’s developers have also prepared a special gift for all players upon the game’s official launch.
On release, all players will be rewarded with 10 Lustrous Tides and 10 Radiant Tides ( equal to 10 pulls on the standard banners and 10 pulls on limited banners). Players will be able to claim all of these rewards once they have unlocked the mail function in game.
Special Release Events & Campaigns
Along with the release of the game and special launch rewards, special limited time release events and campaigns will also be available for all players to partake in and obtain a large amount of Astrites, Lustrous Tides and several special 4* Resonators.
