Zenless Zone Zero - Qingyi VS Jane Doe - Who Should You Roll For

With the release of Version 1.1 Release of Zenless Zone Zero, the 2 new Limited Rate Up banners in the game will feature the 2 brand new Agents that will only be available for a limited time during their rate up banners - The S Rank Electric Stun Agent Qingyi and the S Rank Physical Anomaly Agent Jane Doe. In addition, together with the 2 S Rank Agents, a permanent A Rank agent will also be added to the game - the A Rank Electric Defense Agent Seth.

Qingyi

Qingyi is an S Rank Stun Archetype Agent that deals Electric Elemental damage to enemies with her abilities.

Qingyi’s main gameplay seems to revolve around her normal attacks which change states depending on the amount of special ability stacks that she has. After attacking with her normal attacks, players can hold her normal attack to have her enter a continuous attacking state, granting her special Flashover Voltage stacks and make her attacks deal enhanced Electric damage to enemies and raise their Daze gauge even further.

Qingyi’s Special Attack allows her to dash forward and launch a downward attack dealing Electric Damage to enemies, when she accumulates enough energy, this skill will turn into her EX special skill which enhances the Electric Damage she deals with.

Qingyi’s Chain Attack allows her to switch onto the battlefield and deal a massively powerful instance of Electric Damage to enemies. When the team’s decibel meter reaches max, she can unleash her Ultimate, dealing an even more powerful instance of Electric damage to enemies.

Finally, Qingyi’s Core passive allows her to apply a special “Bind” debuff on enemies when hitting enemies with her enhanced normal attacks, making them take more Daze damage, stacking up to 20 stacks of the debuffs.

Jane Doe

Jane Doe is an S Rank Anomaly Archetype Agent that deals Physical damage to enemies with her abilities.

Similar to Qingyi’s skill kit, Jane Doe’s skill revolves around her accumulating a special unique stack mechanic that allows her to enter a special Fanatic state that enhances the damage of her abilities. Jane Doe’s normal attacks can deal damage to enemies up to 6 times, however, when Jane Doe accumulate enough Fanaticism stacks from perfect dodging, counter attacking or just attacking enemies with her attacks, she will enter a special Fanatic mode, massively enhances the damage of her normal attacks and boost her own attack and Attribute Anomaly Buildup rate massively. In addition, when in Fanatic mode, holding the normal attack button will allow Jane Doe to perform special normal attack combos, dealing even more Physical damage and building up the enemies’ Anomaly Effects.

Jane Doe’s Special Attack allows her to kick the enemies continuously and sweep forward dealing physical damage to them. When she has enough energy, this skill will turn into her EX Special Skill, massively enhancing the Physical damage dealt.

Jane Doe’s Chain attack allows her to take the field, dealing Physical damage to enemies in an area and immediately make her enter her Fanatic mode for a limited amount of time. When the team’s Decibel meter reaches max, Jane Doe can unleash her Ultimate move, dealing massive amounts of damage in a wide area and entering Fanatic mode.

Finally, Jane Doe’s Core Skill applies a special debuff on the enemy that can be triggered when another ally unleashes a Special Attack against the enemy, dealing additional damage proportionally to Jane Doe’s Anomaly stats and enhances the damage dealt by the ally.

Seth

Seth is an A Rank Agent of the Defense Archetype that deals Electric damage to enemies when he is on the field with his abilities.

Seth’s gameplay revolves around correctly timing his abilities in order to deal more damage to the enemies and enhances his own normal attacks to unleash as much Electric damage to enemies as possible.

Seth’s normal attacks allow him to deal up to 4 instances of damage, dealing both physical and electric damage. When he accumulates enough Spirit, these normal attacks can be extended into a combo, with the finishing blow dealing massive amounts of Electric damage and trigger a chain attack with another Agent.

Seth’s Special Attack allows him to bash his shield against the enemy, dealing Electric damage. When he accumulates enough energy, this attack will turn into an EX Special Attack, allowing Seth to charge at the enemy, dealing multiple instances of damage, when timing correctly, Seth can trigger a perfect charge, dealing even more Electric damage to the enemies and accumulating Spirit for Seth.

Seth’s chain attack allows him to immediately take the field and deal Electric damage to the enemy, immediately using Seth EX Special Attack right after will shorten the charging time for the skill and deal more damage. When the team’s decibel meter reaches maximum, Seth can unleash his Ultimate, dealing massive amounts of Electric damage to enemies and immediately using Seth EX Special Attack right after will shorten the charging time for the skill and deal more damage.

Finally, Seth’s Core Skill allows him to grant the team a shield every time he uses his EX Special Attack or triggers a chain attack with allies. When the team has the shield, they will receive a special Anomaly Attribute stat buff.

Which Banners Should You Roll On

Before debating on which of the 2 banners players should roll on, it is important to note that, if players were to favor one Agent over the other due to preferences or their love for the characters’ playstyle, personality or story, then players should prioritize getting the character they like.

However, if players are debating on which of the 2 Agents they should get purely for gameplay and meta reasons, then players should consider some of these points:

Qingyi Vs Jane Doe - Which Agent Is More Beneficial To Have

Between the 2 S Rank Limited Agents, Qingyi and Jane Doe, they both fulfill different roles for different teams depending on their abilities.

Qingyi is an excellent Stun Agent for both Pubsec Faction team and Electric Elemental Damage team, making her extremely valuable to help boost the overall damage output of both teams.

Conversely, Jane Doe’s main role is in a physical team, allowing her to quickly raise the enemies’ attribute anomaly gauge and help the physical team trigger the Assault effects more often.

While these 2 Agents are quite different from each other and fulfill different roles, if players have to choose which of the 2 Agents to roll for, it is recommended that they should roll for the S Rank Agent Qingyi due to her more diverse and useful skill kit for various different teams when compared to Jane Doe’s restrictive capabilities that can only function in the Physical damage team.

Rate Up A Rank Agents - Which Banner Is Better

Aside from the rate up S Rank Agents, each of the rate up banners will feature 2 A Rank Agents that will also be on rate up as well.

Qingyi’s Limited Rate Up Banner will feature the 2 A Rank Agents: Corrin Whickes and Billy Kid. Both of the A Rank Agents are Physical DPS charas and can be used as the main DPS options for Physical teams.

Jane Doe’s Limited Rate Up Banner will feature the 2 A Rank Agents: The new A rank Agent Seth and Anby Demara. Seth is a new A Rank Agent so it is recommended that players roll for him, as for Anby, if players have rolled for Qingyi, then players don’t need to roll for her.
