Coming to the Version Update 1.2, players of Wuthering Waves can expect a whole host of brand new limited time events with amazing rewards, brand new gamemode changes and functions, and the introduction of 2 brand new Resonators into the game for players to roll for and play as - the 5* Glacio Resonator Zhezhi and the 5* Electro Resonator Xiangli Yao. Wuthering Waves Version 1.2 Update Patch - Brand New Resonators & Weapons
Brand New Resonators
With the release of Wuthering Waves Version 1.2 Update Patch, players will be able to encounter and recruit 2 brand new Resonators in the game - the 5* Glacio Resonator Zhezhi and the 5* Electro Resonator Xiangli Yao
Zhezhi is a 5* Glacio Resonator that excels at summoning multiple familiars to aid her and other Resonators in combat to help deal coordinated attacks against the enemies. Her abilities allow her to summon multiple different types of summons with different abilities and help to supplement other allies’ damage output even when she is not on the field. She works amazingly as a sub DPS and Support Resonator for Resonators that want Coordinated attacks like Jinhsi.
Xiangli Yao is a 5* Electro Resonator whose main role is as a main Electro Elemental Damage DPS Resonator with his ability to quickly approach enemies and swiftly punches them with powerful combo skills and abilities. Xiangli Yao’s skill kit revolves around timing his skill and special heavy attacks correctly with his normal attacks to create special damaging combos and raises his forte gauge. Once done correctly, Xiangli Yao can unleash powerful attacks against the enemies with multiple instances of damage and destroy groups of enemies quickly. He is a the prime Electro DPS Resonator thanks to his high damage output and amazing damage modifiers.
Brand New Weapons
Together with the release of the 2 brand new Resonators Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao, players will also have the chance to roll for their signature weapons that will be available for a limited time only during their respective Resonators’ rate up duration. These weapons are:
- Rime-Draped Sprouts (Rectifier):
Main Stat: Atk (Max 500)
Secondary Stat: Critical Damage% (Max 72%)
Passive:
Increases ATK by 12%. After activating the Resonance Skill, increases the user's NA damage by 12% for 6 seconds and this can stack up to three times. When the Outro skill is activated after accumulating 6 stacks, removes the stacks and buffs the on-field resonator's NA NA DMG by 52% lasting for 25s.
- Verity’s Handle (Gauntlets):
Main Stat: Atk (Max 588)
Secondary Stat: Crit Rate % (Max 24.3%)
Passive:
Increases all attribute damage bonuses by 12%. When Resonator's Resonance Liberation is activated, it increases its damage by 48% for eight seconds. Resonance Skill can extend this duration by five seconds and this effect can be triggered three times.
Limited Rate UP Banners Details
During the version 1.2 Update Patch, players will be able to roll for the 2 brand new 5* Resonators and their signature weapons through their special rate up banners, with each banner being rated up for a duration of 21 days, dividing the update patch into 2 different phases:
- 1st Phase: From Start of Version 1.2 Update Patch - 09/07 - 5* Glacio Resonator Zhezhi Rate Up Banner together with her signature weapon. The banner will feature Zhezhi, Chixia, Baizhi and Sanhua as rated up Resonators.
- 2nd Phase: From 09/07 to 09/28 - 5* Electro Resonator Xiangli Yao Rate Up Banner together with his signature weapon. The banner will feature Xiangli Yao, Danjin, Aalto and Yuanwu as rated up Resonators.
Wuthering Waves Version 1.2 Update Patch - Special Events & FREE 5* Resonator
Throughout the duration of version 1.2 update patch for Wuthering Waves, players will be able to participate in various different limited time events and obtain various rewards from the events to roll for and upgrade the different Resonators in the game. In this version 1.2, as a special treat, players will be able to obtain a special FREE 5* Resonator as main reward from the main event from this patch - By Moon’s Grace.
Main Event - By Moon’s Grace
During the version 1.2 Update Patch, players can enjoy the different missions available in this main event in order to obtain special rewards and help the resonators prepare for the Moonlit Fair.
Participate in this version’s main event to obtain up to 1200 astrites, special limited resonator upgrading materials and more.
Resonator Recruitment Event - Converging Paths
While Resonator Xiangli Yao’s rate up banner is online, players can participate in the special Converging Paths event by increasing their Popularity Points in the By Moon’s Grace Main Event in order to obtain the special limited 5* Electro Resonator Xiangli Yao FOR FREE.
Please note that players will only be able to obtain the 5* Electro Resonator Xiangli Yao for free for a limited time during his rate up banner by completing the event By Moon’s Grace. Once the event has ended, players will not be able to obtain Xiangli Yao as a Resonator for free in the future and will be required to roll for him on his future rate up banners.
Log-In Event - Gifts Of Lunar Radiance
During the version 1.2 update patch duration, log into the game for a total of 7 days in order to obtain a total of 5 Radiant Tides and 5 Lustrous Tides, allowing players to do 5 free Limited Character Pulls and 5 Standard Pulls.
Side Event - Depth Of Illusive Realm Update
With the release of Wuthering Waves version 1.2 update patch, another update will come to the Roguelite gamemode Depth of Illusive Realm.
With this update, players will be able to borrow and playtest the Resonators Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao and obtain various rewards from the game mode, including up to 1000 astrites.
Side Event - Do Echoids Dreams Of Electric Sheep?
Another Side Event during this update patch is the brand new limited time event - Do Echoids Dreams Of Electric Sheep?. During the event’s duration, activate special event towers to fight waves of enemies and obtain various rewards including up to 500 astrites, resonator upgrading materials and special Malleable Echoes to obtain echoes with stats of your choosing.
Side Event - Alloy Smelts II
Another Side Event during this update patch is the second iteration of one of the previous limited events in Wuthering Waves - Alloy Smelts II.
During the event duration, players can obtain special buffs in special challenge stages in order to try out different Resonators and defeat waves of enemies in order to obtain various rewards, including up to 500 astrites.
Returnee Event - Reprise Of Tides
For returning players who have not logged into Wuthering Waves for more than 30 days, they will be able to participate in the special returnee event - Reprise of Tides. During the event’s duration, logging into the game and completing tasks will reward players with special rewards, including up to 800 astrites.
Double Drop Events
Finally, throughout the version 1.2 Version Update duration of Wuthering Waves, players will be treated with 2 double drop events for resonator materials and echoes. These events will be available for a limited time, each lasting 7 days each and will allow players to claim double the normal drops for a total of 3 times each day.
